Evidently some of these idiots on here, have no clue! A redneck is a hardworking, average Joe, who puts in his eight hours and then some, pays his taxes,and provides for his family. Who knocks back a few with his friends after work,then goes home to the wife and kiddies. As i said, a hard working, middleclass American citizen, who loves his country and probably flys the American flag on his truck or his front porch.. Damn,they can call me a redneck anytime!

I think it is a positive term.
A redneck isn't afraid to get a tan while working outside.
A redneck is not chasing the Jone's and living beyond their means.
A redneck takes pride in NOT having a car payment, even if the car is 10 years old.
A redneck takes pride in owning their own home, even if it isn't as big as he might otherwise afford.
A redneck is honest.
A redneck is your farmer, your carpenter, your police, your firemen.
They are not perfect but they are not elitist, either. They value an education,but don't look down on you if you chose not to go that route. They judge you by the content of your character, not the content of your wallet.

I think a redneck is someone with no teeth living in a shack in the backwoods. He thinks his sister is "purty." He went to third grade, but that's about it. I suppose this could describe some Democrats, and some Republicans too. I don't think rednecks make the effort to vote though.

Personally I think it's a compliment to be called Redneck, Roughneck, or hillbilly!!! Heck call me all three of them if it makes ya happy!!!
