Call your local Dept. of Social Services. There are housing programs, and they will pay your deposits, and you will have low monthly rent. If you don't work/are unable to work, you will get a monthly stipend. If you would like to work, there are programs in the States to pay for daycare (Here in Connecticut its called Care 4 Kids, I don't know if it is state or nationwide.)
If you wish, you can contact me, and give me more info, so I will be better able to assist you. Or, post more info here, and I will get you the contact numbers for the services you need.
Oh, and to the judgemental people asking about the PC-Haven't you ever heard of a public library? Every one I have ever been to has free pc and internet access for card holders.

Last year I went through some tough times and I was without a place to go . I have two children who are now 3 and 5 so I had a lot of worries and concern for there welfare. I don't have family to turn to and because of the relationship I had been in, I isolated myself from having any friends...therefore..no one to help me. I went to the library and used the computer there and found the info I needed to get on my feet. There are churches that help, like an Urban Ministry,The Salvation Army, Genesis Home, and your local social services . There is also a number to call, 211. They will give you some numbers of places that are willing to help you but keep in mind that some Churches will help if they haven't depleted their funds and some will only help members of their congregation. People are willing to help you if you are willing to help yourself. Keep your head up,don't get discouraged and stay strong for your babies.

Oh man...get those kids in a home!!! Do you have any friends or family? It depends on what state you are in. I would call or go to a court house in the city. They usually have all the info you need. Good luck and keep your head up. Take care of those kids!

hey dorks, libraries and cyber cafes offer plenty of homeless people internet access.
as to the asker - knowing your city/state could help others provide specific recommendations. I've been a section 8 landlord and have noticed that my tenants have gotten deposits from 'catholic charities' and from individual protestant churches. also, homeless prevention programs will have resources.
where are you???

The government has set up special funding called Section 8. It is to help with housing. Check with your local govt to see about applying.

It depends on what state you are in. All the states that I know have special departments for housing, welfare, WIC, food stamps, etc. You could probably call the NON emergency number for the police in your town and ask. Good luck!
