Because we do. It's a whole get even attitude that most people have. It satifies a certain lust in our minds to know that we took justice in our own hands, and gave someone what they deserved. We can't all be like Jesus and turn the other cheek. Vindiction is a normal human response because of lack of perfection, patience, and tolerance.

What is revenge in your opinion? I wish you had given a little more detail or example of revenge.
Asking for your rights and asking for justice is not revenge.
Dont let criminals get away with it. By saying we are revengeful we may be taking away the right of someone to fight for justice or human rights.
You think about it too.

people seek revenge because of pride and ego. they had rather took revenge than lose their pride. but their thinking is all wrong because life encompasses a lot of things besides revenge. to earn a living and live humbly and simply are perhaps the most important.

becuz we are human anyone can see the faults in us and anyone can criticize us for nothin but out of all the things people do or say and however any person is, ppl seek revenge to get the others attention

I seek justice not revenge.
Justice is with cause for prosecution
revenge is without just cause
btw murder is killing according to the dictionary they are one and the same

Israel always wants to revenge from the Islamic people ...they don't care killing Muslims and Christians whom lived in Palestine and Lebanon ,Israel is killing many many innocent people .Israel have no right to revenge from these innocent people .israel occupied Palestine before 50 years ago and tried to occupy Lebanon in 1982 and then they got out of it and came back again. the Israelian forces came back to occupy Lebanon which Jews have no right in one inch of Palestine and Lebanon.Israel target is to occupy all the middle -east ofcourse with the help of the USA and England cause they want to get rid of Islam.They are afraid of Islam cause it spread so so fast in all the countries .Just why they don't leave the Islamic nation in peace ...and let Israel quit from Palestine and Lebanon ....

Well, I don’t believe it’s nature. I think we’re the only species that feels the need to hurt other for pain dealt to us.
I’ve never really thought about it…
It could be because we don’t do the whole natural selection thing, so we have to make our status clear to anyone else, when some one crosses us we need to show others what will happen if they make that mistake too.
It can be really childish.

Because, if you hit me I will have an urge to hit you back.. or hope someone else hits you. I suppose to try to teach the person a lesson... so they realize what they did was wrong and stop. Whatever your parents neglect to teach you, society will drill into your head!
