School smarts?

Okay...I'm going to improvise on what you mean since you really didn't give much detail....

There's a start...be specific on what you want to know. Ask questions in class if you don't understand what's going on. Don't be afraid to, plenty of other people probably have the same question.
Take notes. They'll help jog your memory when you look back at them for studying.
Never read from your book word for word. You'll miss the overall meaning.
Be organized. Keep track of homework, exams, and big assignments.
Don't over-study for anything. You'll end up forgetting it.
Find a ways of studying that work for you. Reading through notes, making flash cards, highlighting in your book...etc
Always show up at class prepared to learn.
Sit in the front row.
