It took me about a year to get a date with this girl. She is hispanic and I am white. We went on about five dates and had a good time. We still talk to each other regularly but we seem to be losing momentum. She just graduated from college about a year ago, so there is a eight year age difference between us. Do you think she is reluctant to get involved with me because I am from a different culture (race) or are we just at different stages of life?

I have a CPA and an MBA in finance. I do not think it is about money or my job. I would not want her around if it was.

I say different stages of life. And even though you guys had a good time on a few dates. She probably feels you guys don't have too much in common. Or there wasn't something in your personality she was attracted to.

If you feel that something is just not quite right.
I would say that it is your best bet to go with your gut instincts.
I don't think it is a race thing...because of the good times you did have togather.

Have you talked to hear? I'm betting it is the age just from that or it could be that after a year things tend to settle down more. Talk to her but think about what you say before you say it.

o come on! my boy friend is Guatemalan....and I'm Russian!! that pretty diverse and we have been going out for almost two months now and our relationship has not deteriorated a single bit...i don't have a huge age gap in my relationship like you do but that should not matter to you if you love her and you want to stay with her...and her being Hispanic should not matter either!!

No, I don't think it's race. Maybe she's just busy with school. Just hang with your friends and maybe when she can she will call you but if you don't hear from her just let it go. Only time will tell if you will be together. Take care!
