You may need to check the ingredients. Typically, sweet red bean paste contains red (adzuki) beans. The beans themselves are low calorie, high fiber, and have protein and B vitamins. But prepared red bean paste usually contains a considerable amount of fat, often lard, and lots of sugar. The amount of added fat and sugar would depend on the manufacturer, so the nutritional information for the product would vary with the manufacturers. Because of the fat and sugar, you should consider it a high-calorie treat instead of a dieter's delight.

Something like that for the beans. The sugar is pretty much the only other thing in it. It of course varies. Some is too sweet and some is barely sweet.
