Because you have not extended the common courtesy of digging into your stash of good 80's music, lending it to your neighbor while helping with the yard work.

For the same reason some people listen to bad '00s music while they do yard work. They like it.
If he's playing it while he does yard work, that means it's during daylight hours, and you should be glad he isn't doing it at 3 a.m. Loosen up a little!

Because that's his style- you may be bugged, but hey, he likes it. He might think that your music is totally crap- even if you like it.

This a battle of opposing tastes, not common courtesy. Sure, he plays it loud, but he's probably trying to hear over his mower.

What I suggest is going to him calmly and asking if he might consider turning down his music. If he disagrees, don't worry about it. Just put on some headphones and tune him out.

I bet it's not the volume that bothers you. I think it's the type of music you object to. Would you be complaining if your neighbor was blasting music that you like? I tend to think NOT!!!!

Becuase if they listen to today's music it would drive them crasy. They have good taste, you should try listening in or maybe join them and help clean the yard. You may become good friends. God Bless you.

I totally get that. Difficult neighbors are the most unbearable relationship. If it really bothers you and you feel like you can talk to them about it, you should.
