I always have to drink at least one can of Dr Pepper a day. On average I drink up to 2 cans a day. Currently I am trying to stop and drink more water. I crave the sugar and not the caffeine. What do you suggest i can drink, that i can satisfy my sweet cravings without all the sweetness.

I have the same problem, I love Dr. Pepper! I just don't buy any pop when I go to the store, then there's none in the house to drink. You could drink Juice if you want something sweet to drink, and try to keep drinking water, it's the best thing for you to drink. The only time I drink pop now is when I'm eating at a fast food restaraunt, which is not very often.

This is pretty simple, but why not switch to Diet Dr.Pepper? It's one of the most "real" tasting diet drinks and would decrease your sugar intake quite a bit.

Any uncontrollable food craving, by the way, can indicate a nutritional deficiency, so a health check-up isn't a bad idea.

And for what it's worth, my grandfather drank three bottles of Dr. Pepper every day for many, many years. He died a mere lad of 97. Without all of that sugar who knows how old he might have been?

try the diet version, it's still soda but at least it isn't loaded with sugar. Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper is really good. Plus, it will still satisfy your sweet cravings. Don't worry about drinking it as long as you are keeping water in your diet as well.

I think they put something in the diet version that is addicting. I use to drink just a few a day and now I drink almost a 12 pack a day! I crave it!! I know it sounds crazy but I seem to be dying of thirst when I don't drink it and nothing else can quench my thrist!
I'e been tring to drink water and I just never quench the thrist!!

Something similar happens to me with coca-cola. I try to drink a lot of different stuff like orange juice or apple juice. Don't buy a lot of it at a time or you'll finish it faster. How do you know that you crave the sugar and not the caffeine?

I am addicted to Mountain Dew. Same problem. I tried Diet Mountain Dew, but it wasn't satisfying; I now drink a lot of Kool aid but still usually a Mountain Dew a day.

Why do you want to switch?? Nothing wrong with what you're currently drinking, despite the bogus warnings from some folks. Don't worry about such a minor thing. Won't hurt you.

I'm addicted to Mt. Dew so I know how you feel. Walmart has Sam's Choice flavored waters, my son loves the raspberry. Nestle makes flavored waters and they are also very good, try to see if you can do these and be happy. I also enjoy Crystal Light . Good Luck!

Well, if you really don't want this addiction, then you have to fight for it. "No pain, no game". How about you use Dr.Pepper as a treat. Say like, you can only drink some if you do your duties or something.
