God is real and very much alive. Do you not think that it is possible that God made this Earth to evolve? That God made have created the Big Bang? God does exist, God has male side and a female side, he is ominenscent and way more powerful than anything else... it is very possible that God made it so that when Science evolved and investigated the evolution of the Earth and Man that he knew Science would be able to disprove his existence.... Wouldn't you say thats a test of pure love and faith?

I think this explains your statment/question very well.

Concerning the debate going on about intelligent design and evolution: is it possible that the final answer about which of these two seemingly opposite ideas is correct could simply be yes?

With one position firmly held by the believers and the other just as fearlessly defended by the non-believers, if you happen to be in a position somewhere near the middle, it does not look all that complex. From this position, you wonder why either-or has to be the answer.

If you believe that some higher being created the universe by intelligent design, what more elegant and intelligent design could there have been than a self-regulating system that continually checks its own errors and makes its own corrections in mid-stream as an integral part of the process.

This all seems quite logical to me although it probably won’t satisfy the believers because they are afraid to see any truth other than the one they have been told to believe in. Inversely it certainly won’t satisfy the non-believers because it leaves them stuck with a god that they are so obviously terrified of.

To sum up this view from the center, it might be most easily be explained by saying perhaps the designer was intelligent. Problem is, the designer was likely so intelligent that those seeking to prove that it is intelligently designed may be incapable of ever understand it well enough to see it for the elegant self regulating design that it has always been.

The nonbelievers will be similarly handicapped due to the internal terror the have about the idea that there may be a God. Neither side being able to leave their entrenched position for fear they may have to admit they were wrong. While the rest of us stand by trying to figure out what all the fuss is about. Personally I don’t think anyone is wrong, I just feel both sides are about half right.

Science is the a search for answers in nature. The study of nature. How then can we expect to study God directly through nature, for if He is the "I am" and ~he was and is and always will be~ separate from from our natural world. He is not over this world. He is supernatural.

Not enough?
Look at your desk. Consider your desk as all the knowledge that ever was and ever could be about this place, the universe, in which we are placed. Determine what area there on you knowledge exists. Is it possible then, that the fingerprint, or even the proof of God exists somewhere beyond that speck? I would say so.

But further, I would say that even in my little speck of space on my desk, I can see reason to believe in God. The massive complexity. The long small statistics. The beauty of nature. And even, science itself and the search for the meaning of life, these are distinctly human, and a reason to search for God. As if that alone could be our purpose.

Further, as a Catholic, I take a more complex view of the Bible. The use of the bible requires a tediously translated and explained copy and oftentimes a good reference, in order to understand context, historical significance, and likely interpretation at the time it was written.

the real asnwer is that all the religions connect like grades into schools and after one becomes inapplicable to the social laws of that day, a new manefestation comes to earth to reveal the next progressive revealation. The revelation for today is the Baha'i Faith, who's principlas revolve around the agreement of science and religion, the euality of both sexes, the independant investigation of truth, and the elimination of prejuduces of all kind. There are other key laws. We as believers also believe that the Baha'i Faith was the 2nd comming and that Jesus said he would return but what is mean't by that is the revelation of God instead of His actual physical body. If anyone is interested in the full principals...http://www.bahai.com/Bahaullah/principles.htm

I think you are putting too much value into scientific explanations.

Don't forget that the "Big Bang" is just a theory and NOT accepted by all scientists. Remember, humans like to measure things according to their own standards most often which causes all this tension of the unexplained. Read the Bible to know what God says. Then you will understand.

imo your conclusion is erroneous ... as jesus_freak pointed out a literal belief in every word of the bible doesnt go against science ... however science chooses to ignore any ideas that come from the bible .. this defined is ignorance period. Science doesnt prove much of anything it is full of theories and even alot of the theories jive with the bible, but oh, they do make some outrageous "claims" about things but remember ... they are theories not facts. Yes the universe was created with a big bang .. and yes dinosaurs existed ... but 500 million years ago? theory .... evolution? theory ... dont believe the great flood carved out the grand canyon? oh yeah thats right ... science said that little river did it over millions of years ... theory.

There are seven basic proofs God exists. Properly, they belong in a separate book all by themselves, but I will cover them briefly here.
(1) That there is a great CREATION is obvious. The very fact of the existence of THINGS; the universe, the solar system, the earth and all myriad forms of life upon it, demands a CREATOR!
(2) The existence of great, immutable, powerful LAWS (and I speak of the "laws" governing the physical universe; the laws of science and chemistry; laws governing the action of water in its three states; the cleavage and fracturing properties of minerals; gravity, inertia, isostasy, etc., etc.). The existence of these great laws demands a lawgiver!
(3) The intricacy of complex design; whether the feathers on the wing of a bird; the eye of a fly; the breathing apparatus of a dolphin; billions of intricately-designed snowflakes; your own muscular, skeletal, digestive and circulatory systems-etc., etc., requires a great DESIGNER!
(4) LIFE exists. Life in myriad forms. You and I both know that life only comes from preexisting life! This is called the "law of biogenesis." Life demands a great LIFE GIVER!
(5) Life only comes from preexisting life of the same kind! Thus, there is procreation, and the sustaining of life on our planet; the constant recycling of falling trees, rotting vegetation; the bacteria which break it down to become food for the insects which are food for dozens of other creatures, which are in turn food for larger creatures, which are in turn food for man; the cyclical character of our symbiotic environment which, like a gigantic machine was once "wound up," and is gradually running down, requires a sustaining force. Inherent within this proof are the laws governing the "conservation" of energy" and the laws of thermodynamics. It is obvious our universe has a great sustaining force-a GREAT SUSTAINER!
(6) Fulfilled prophecies, of which there are dozens, with dozens more yet to be fulfilled, constitute a great proof of Almighty God. Even simple high school or beginning college-level Bible handbooks such as Halley's, or the Angus Bible Handbook contain fascinating proofs from the spade of archeologists corroborating the prophecies of men who foretold the collapse of great empires and the emergence of others centuries and centuries beyond their own lifetime. Now, we are able to look back at such men as Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel and others, and see what they foretold actually HAPPENED exactly as they foretold it!
Many of the biblical prophecies are in process of being fulfilled. The serious student of biblical archeology knows that it is axiomatic that, wherever archeology reveals information about ancient civilizations, it always corroborates the biblical record, never refutes it!
(7) The final proof-one which dyed-in-the-wool disbelievers will doubtlessly scoff at-is answered prayer! Of course. God does not answer the prayers of skeptics and disbelievers. However, those individuals who have experienced the answer to PRAYER; those who have been healed of their sicknesses and diseases, who have actually seen miracles performed, are no longer doubting, but believing. Answered prayer is definitely a proof that there is a God who can hear. and answer!

What I think is that deities and the accompanying beliefs were made up stories and earlier human ways of trying to understand a world they had no understanding of. If you can't even look up at the stars and understand what those pinpoints of light are, well what do you do...you make up your own explanation so it doesn't scare you or drive you nuts wondering! So you have an explanation to give your children when they ask.

God is completely real.

Scientists think they know everything, they know a lot, but they look for answers because they cant accept the truth.

And yes at one time there was only one thing to beleive in, the truth.
