My aunt invited me to go to canada with her and her husband and their two kids for 10 days in august. I was so excited when they asked me because I love Canada and I was really hoping they would ask me, not to mention I love my cousins. But then my mom pointed out that I would be missing drivers ed. So I will be missing three classes and a lot of driving time. I also will have to pay 60 dollars for the missed classes. Should I not go to Canada or sacrifice the 60 dollars/lost driving hours and get behind?
Any advice would be appreciated, I can't decide because I really really want to go to with them to canada-ive been waiting forever--but drivers ed is also really important and I can't do the next session.

I agree with Ali, you are young, and you have alot of years ahead of you to drive. You will not always have the opportunity to be with your family, every moment spent with family is worth whatever sacrifices we have to make.

I have never regretted time spent with my friends and/or family. More so now that I am adult in my 40's and some of my relatives have passed on and I cannot visit with them any longer. Could you make arrangements to complete one more drivers ed class for the next three weeks? Maybe you can talk to your drivers ed teacher and work that out, so that you can complete your classes, not have to pay money for the missed classes, and go on the trip with your aunt and uncle and cousins? It would not hurt anything to ask and it may work out perfectly. This sounds like a sensible solution to me, give it a try!!! Best of luck to you. Have a good night!

That's a tough decision, you just have to figure out what you want more. Will you be able to make up the 3 classes, will it cost another $60. How far will missing the classes put you behind? But the vacation sounds like fun and you can still get your license when you get back..

Take the driver's ed course, and then when you get your license, take your aunt on a road trip to Canada!
