First check to see that there's food in the food bowl, fresh water in the water bowl, and that the kitty litter is clean. After you've made sure those things are fine, pick up your kitty and rub her belly, stroke her back, make kissy noises, and just give her some general serious lovin'....it may be that she just longs for some companionship from her main human...YOU. ;-)

Oh yeah...ditto what the person above me said...if your cat has not been spayed, yet, it's highly likely she's in heat....I think it is safe to spay kittens when they are 6 months old...this is highly recommended for the comfort and health of your cat.

But don't neglect serious lovin' on your kitty, either!

I have a young male Siamese who "talks" all the time. It sounds like a baby or little child crying. My vet told me that my cat does this just to say "hey, I'm here. Don't forget about me." My other cat (a big, fat orange little girl) only cries when she wants to eat, which is getting to be all the time. Both my cats are fixed and they have such different personalities. I love cats!

your cat might be wanting attention or love. the chances of your cat being in heat are much lower than them saying either they want attention or asking for water, food, clean litter box, ect. BUT if none of that helps you might want to take them to the vet to check. The best thing to do when your cat i crying though is to pick it up and love on it. Even if your cat is hurt comforting them and loving on them will help until you can get them to the vet.

I have to agree with the consensus that a female cat in heat is very Vocal to say the least. Could be safe to assume that she is horny as heck....but yeah, go ahead and check the food and water dish, litter box...cats are pretty unique in letting you know when they need something....in her case she just may need a vibrater...lol....

Sometimes cats are just very vocal, they might simply want your attention or they want to 'talk' to you, my cats will walk around the house calling to one another or calling to us, or sometimes they just are talking. However, if this is out of the ordinary, see if theres anything wrong with the cat, any tenders spots etc. She might be trying to tell you something. Every cat is unique.

since your cat is a female, if she is not Spayed, she may be in heat, and they will cry then It will last the whole time that she is in and it can get very annoying...If she is not spayed you should get her done, and the crying will stop.
