I would like to know this because my grandfather is almost 80 years of age, he still works. But is always tired, and forgets, he recently has been very irritable towards his family. I don't know why the sudden personality change its almost as if he is a different person. he is very curt and sometimes blunt, he was before but his behavior has recently gotten worse. Its sad to see because sometimes I take it personally, but I have to learn not too, its very difficult to see grandparents age.

Do not take it personally. I have seen my great grandparents age. Many older people have dementia. Your grandfather may very likely be getting this, and/or he may be in the early stages of alzheimers. My grand aunt became very irratable with the onset of these two diseases coupled. My grandfather became blunt also, and would not withhold what he really thought about others. in his last years. You need to cope with this as a family, and it is always difficult & a struggle...

good luck & best reguards to you and your family.

as the age grows, after 65+ the Grand parents will become younger. Surprised???? Well, i mean they will start behaving like a child. The more their age, the more they will behave like a child. So dont take it pesonally. It happens to all. Even you would do the same after you cross 70. Just enjoy your current age buddy!!
