well first off Toby keith doesnt have to be christian to sing about what happened w/ 9-11,i'm agnostic ,i think he was heartfelt about what happend ,and i will put a boot up your *** for questioning him and his lyrics, and jesus loves him , other wise he wouldnt have more money than you ,he was blessed and he is beautiful, dont be jealous of people because you never tried to do anything w/ your life, and you can be angry with me all you want but if you feel the need to talk about other people, then what is christian about you being an *** and questioning other peoples morals, get a life babe

OK. Now, why are you trying to compare what the Savior of the world would do with what some disgruntled country singer said is correct to do? The American way, to Toby Keith, is to put a boot up your you-know-what. The American way to you could be totally different. That's why it is America, and that is why we are free.

Yes, this is the American way. Globally America is a big terrorist, killing innocents in the middle east, just to get one bad person.
Look at Bush, he goes to Church and when he goes to work, he thinks it ok to do some more killing. Insane. This shows how backwards the USA has become and how many think his actions are ok, because of his position.
Many know that the Catholic Church is one of the false prophets, claiming to be acting 'in Jesus stead', or trying to replace him or God, by the priests calling themselves Father, building these HUGE temples, instead of helping starving people right in their own city. Yet millions flock there every Sunday.
Jesus will as you put it, put a boot up their $$$ in the future- when the end comes.

America is a political entity that claims Christianity as its main religion, but I understand there is no actual state religion. A boot up the a-- could easily be seen as the American way. The christian way is something else, apart from any nation's political system.

I hate Toby Keith and hisTexas-inspired-tough-guy attitude. Yes we are all upset about terrorism, but pictures of the Statue of Liberty flipping off Iraq are trite and just make us look stupid as a whole.

Ah yes, we are a twisted society! But not all us listen to Country & Western Crap music,(thank Goddess) and no we aren't all christian.
But there are way too many Red Neck, Know it all, war monger Americans out there, and I'm sure the majority of them would tell you that they are christian! Not Me...
Blessed Be... ; )

I'm pretty sure he doesn't mean it literally! It just means we won't take any crap from anybody, and if you mess with one of us you get us all.
As for America being as Christian as it claims to be...
We were founded on basic christian principles, but as for modern day, we are not only Christian, but jewish, muslim, hindi, buddist, even atheist. All are welcome here. That is what makes america as great as it is.
Jesus may have said "turn the other cheek", but I'm sure even he has his limitations.

Even God would be that angry with someone who brought death upon his people the way it was brought to America on 9/11. I love that song and it is true of every red blooded American.

No, He would not. America may be a nation founded on Christian principles, but no way is it a Christian nation as people define Christian.

Toby Keith speaks for himself, and those who agree with him. I do not and lean more toward the Dixie Chicks for my view on things. Listen to "Godspeed" for what I think is the American way. And you can listen to Travelling Soldier for how I think the troops are supported, not with hatred toward enemies, but with love toward them.
