Intoduce yourself
say what you will be talking about
talk about what you are going to talk about
Recap what you just talked about
ask if there are any questions (if appropriate)

Toastmasters can help with this.

but some good pointers are:
Only use humour if it is appropriate
keep your speech short and to the point
you can write your speech in bullet point form so that it is not so easy to get lost in the speech while talking.
start with an appropriate greeting, good morning/afternoon/day
Introduce yourself by name and title if you have one.
introduce your topic in short and then make your speech.

Is there any speaking format? I never know that. Just use your language whatever it is, as long as people around you will understand what your talking about.

Format as in mode of delivery or as in location? I assume delivery. Look up "Speaking Effectively" by John Kline. I think it is still at http://www.au.af.mil/au/awc/awcgate/kline-speak/b33tp.htm

I teach my students from that.

any topic you care enough about to do the research for an abolute "winning" speech! and one that will stand for something you stand for. remember for best results: KEEP eye contact!
