I agree 100%, we are typing so very fast before the question just get lost among other questions and gets buried in answers that don't even try to answer the question, some people must believe that when they receive the ultimate points that there will be a million dollars waiting for them. been there , there is nothing but more questions to answer.

I can overlook typos but when a person spells every word wrong and doesn't make sense I don't think it's rude to tell him I can't understand him.
If somebody is that stupid they should know it and use the spell check.
Or stay off altogether and leave it for the intelligent literate people.
I'm sorry there are so many of you illiterate people that went through our school system without learning anything but I'm not about to shut up and let the idiots rule this site.
If you don't like it use spell check and don't look so stupid to the rest of us.

Why are you typing so fast? Is it to get your answers in first; does that make a difference. Perhaps that is why some answers make no sense. Not because they are mis- spelled, but because someone was in such a hurry to be first, they didn't think their answer out.
I would rather go down a long list of answers and read a thoughtful response, than to to see the one liners that often suffice for an answer and were put there simply for a point.

Use spell check. Incorrect spelling is annoying to some people and I can understand that. I type fast as well but use spell check to make sure of any errors. I feel for you - if the question can be read, what is the big deal!

it's annoying isn't it?
I'm not a native English-speaker, so I have the Spell-Check-Nazi's on my back a lot too.
I see people attacking you for using "to" instead of "too"...and in the same sentence they advise you to use the spell-checker. The spell-checker will never find that error...
To the above answerer Starla_C, or something like that: I truly wonder how your tax-dollars are paying my education. Maybe you arrogant american dumb brain forgot that this is a World Wide Web, and we're not all Americans...I for one live in Romania. You're welcome to pay my education, btw.

If you are too lazy or ignorant to spell properly or you think it's cool to abbreviate every other word down to two letters I will bite your legs off. No ifs, ands, or buts. It's just that simple.
What the hell is an "abiliTITIEs"? You twit. And it is "there" not "their" in the beginning of your rant.
Go ahead, get your panties tied into a knot. See if I care.

There is a check spelling key on the very page you answer questions on. If you are in that much of a rush to post, then you should be ridiculed for your lack of correctness. Some of us do not understand this street / leet talk either, and this could be a source of ire.

I understand that you can't catch every spelling or grammatical error , but really, the check spelling link is right there, and it takes just seconds to click and fix things. And since when did answering a question become a speed contest?

Well, first of all, when spelling is so bad that you can't understand the question I don't think it is too rude to ask that you make a little effort to get it close, and by the way there is a spell checker.

99% of the "spelling police" are 15-year-olds who have no idea what the answer to your question is, but want two points for nit-picking about your spelling. I've found that about 95% of the answers given to serious questions on Yahoo Answers are WRONG because 95% of the users of Yahoo Answers are children.
