OK so lets say a girl that is 5 4" weighs 167... theese are her weight loss golas.
150-Aug. 16
140-141- Oct. 18
135-125- Christamss.
How realistice are theese goals? If you'd like you can use this point system.
1=not realistic at all
5=50-50 chance of meeting theese goals.
10=definently good foals that a very atainable.
Thanx so much for your time and answers and you don't HAVE to use this point system i just thought it would make it a little easier.

well i agree with what MOST of the other ppl said...i think the first goal is probably doable....5 is you don't try really hard...but around 8-9 if you REALLY put forth some effort. As for the other two goals i say 10 go for it sounds perfectly resonable to me. Although i think at 5 4' 125 is probably a little too small...i don't know what every one else thinks but hopefully some one will include that in there answer....you should put that in your qeustion. Good luck i'm sure "she" will be fine.

1= not realistic at all, Unfortunately, if anyone does find a way of dropping that much weight so quickly, it will not stay off. If you fast or go on one of those liquid diets, you will put weight on as soon as you stop the fast or complete the liquid diet. If you go on ediets.com or Oprah.com there are lots of suggestions from doctors about exercise and diet. Most doctors will recommend that the best way to lose weight is to cut down on bad fats and portion size, as well as exercise at least a half hour per day to start, and then build up the exercise in 10 minute increments week by week. In order to keep the weight off, you need to lose it slowly and sensibly, a couple of pounds per week. While you are losing you need to be exercising more, which means you will be building muscle, as the fat comes off. Muscle weighs more than fat, so some weeks you may actually not show any loss, but may stay the same, because of the muscle mass. You probably want to have a complete physical before undertaking any new diet or exercise program. If you are actually losing 5 or 6 pounds per month, that is the slow and steady wins the race of losing. Hope I haven't been too discouraging, I am just trying to be more realistic. Good luck and have a good night!

If you plan on eating right and excersising about 3 times a week for that duration of time, then yes those are absolutely attainable!!! I am going through that right now and actually, you kind of helped me establish some goals. I am attending Weight Watchers and I find that really helps! Ask a friend who is looking to lose weight tag along on this plan with you. You may want to check out Weight Watchers website and see if there are any helpful hints. I'm the exact same weight and height. And those look very realistic. One last thing, be confident with your body. You don't have to be perfect, just make sure that you're healthy. Good Luck!

Now...first what are you doing to meet these "weight goals"? I'm assuming you're doing the goods things: eat breakfast, eat a combination of fruit groups--especially fruits and vegetables, drinking at least 64 oz of water per day, taking complete vitamins, getting at least eight hours of sleep, knowing the physics and knowledge of weight loss, getting at least 30-60 minutes of cardio excerise five times a week (maybe even doing even strength training on top of that), not expecting an overnight result, and planning to do these things for the rest of your life AND have fun? Woah...ha. I'm hoping your planning to do those things. (People don't realize how easy it can be once you know all the good things you're doing for your body. And...you can make your cake and eat it too...in controlled portions of course.) :-P
17 pounds in 20 or so days? Hm. I don't think so. Shoot to lose 1-2 pounds per week. You can lose three pounds per week in water, but that's not actual fat. The slower the better--so it doesn't back fire and you gain it all back. That's NOT fun.
140 by October? Hm. That's more realistic. I would say that's possible.
125-135 by Christmas? If you stick to it and do good things for your body. Most definitely.
Good luck!

That's way too much weight to lose that quick. The only way you could do that is either a drug problem or an eating disorder. Both will rot your teeth and mess up your body so don't do those k??!! Set realistic goals like a pound a week. Don't worry if it takes awhile to come off look how long it took to get there. Slowly is the healthiest way to lose weight. Good luck for the girl

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

probebly a 10 because she would only be loosing 10 pounds in about 3 months if she tryed hard enough i'm sure she could loose 10 pounds in about 1-1 1/2 months but that means NO sweets and working out for maybe 2 hours each day --- Good luck

If you are very careful about what you are eating and if you get about 30 minutes of exercize in a day...I think it's very attainable. I lost 60 lbs in 3 months. People told me ... oh no, you will get sick. I ate healthy and exercized and I felt and looked great and I still do. YOu have to , have to, have to stick to it though. Be strong and be strict and you can do it. You go girl!!!!
PS Don't listen to people who aren't supportive...people hate it when someone gets beautiful or rich because that's what they secretly wish they could do.

It doesn't sound very realistic or healthy to me. You're only supposed to lose 1-2 pounds a week; any more is unhealthy.
