Now how should I know?

I had E-coli when I was 9...I was at Riley's Children's Hospital for 2 months and I was pretty much near death. I had the worst form of E-coli you can possibly get, Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS). I don't remember anything at all, except all the bad parts like surgeries, tube down my nose, having very beyond awful stomach aches, and of course not being able to pee for 2 months because my kidney's shut down. I remember feeling every night like death was right there, can't tell you what it felt like from my point of view. It was scary though, imagine going to sleep every night for 2 months knowing you might possibly die. I am VERY lucky to be here. I'm 16 now and 100% E-coli free and I live my life to the fullest.

When I was a kid, I got caught in a riptide while swimming in the ocean and drowned. I was struggling for survival but lost the battle, and was sinking to the bottom. Your life really does flash before your eyes; I was only eight years old so it was a short flash. I saw a series of events quickly pass by, like a dvd on fast forward. Then it kind of felt like a dream, everything was very peaceful and calm. I remember hearing soft music, and seeing a soft white light, but everything was kind of strange and out of focus. But then the lifeguards revived me; the return trip was sudden and violent. I went from being peaceful and calm, to being scared to death and crying. They had been working on me for quite a while before bringing me back. I remember the first thing I heard was one of the lifeguards telling me to be tough, because a lot of people were watching. What a shitty thing to say to a little kid who was just dead a minute ago. Opps, I mean thank you for saving my life, because without the help of the lifeguards I wouldn’t be here today. This story is 100% true...

Don't know... maybe depends on how you die.

I came close in an auto accident once. I don't remember the accident at all - just before and after. It was like I was lifted outside my body and into a fog/cloud. It was really kind of strange. I had a "conversation" with God telling Him things I felt I had to do before I could go to Heaven. I know that sounds bold, but I was trying to think of everyone else in my life instead of me.

Then all of the sudden, I was sitting in my car talking to rescue guys. Everyone thought I was a bit nutty when I described my experience, but Doc said I was blessed to be here - miracle I wasn't killed.

You will find yourself in a world of absolute reality behind which your whole life was based. And the moment you die, you won't know it immediately, but you will still be able to percieve things, except in a whole new world that is so much more real than this.

This is a very good question but of course also very unanswerable as far as giving an exact answer. It is however ,very interesting to look at the answers of people who have had near death expierences. I have a book written by Howard Storm who went into quite a bit of detail about his.

probably different for everyone....depending on their beliefs, or how they die, or what their life situation was. You can never know the answer to that question until you get there yourself, hopefully not for a very long time.

all near death experiences reveal that
it actually feels like u r coming out of ur body and moving towards
a path or a bright light source.
