yes, dog teeth do need to be brushed. I know it sounds a little bit weird, but yes it is true. Dog toothpaste is usually meat flavored for them. It helps the dog keep healthy.

Assuming you feed (or he somehow gets ahold of) any manmade foods, then it is smart to brush a dog's teeth. Their natural system was not made to deal with our refined sugars and other products, and just like humans, we *could* go without brushing, because we did for hundreds of years, but the rotting teeth and gum disease we used to live with just aren't much fun.

YES! My sister is a professional dog groomer and she says that its really important to brush their teeth. She also said that dry dog food is best, not wet canned dog food. The canned contributes to tooth decay.

A dog is in as much jepardy for tooth decay as any human---so an occassional brushing is not a bad idea---however a good quality chewing bone will assist in this area emensely and you won't have to do this brushing thing nearly so much (they don't like it --usually--and they will make you work to get it done)

Yes.
It is a fact that the tartar build up from their gums and teeth can eventually seep into their bloodstream and cause a heart attack.
Brush them twice a week.

yes. otherwise your dog's breath will STINK. they make bones and doggie treats that clean dogs' teeth. Or you could take him to a vet or a place where they groom animals to have his teeth cleaned.
