how do i get over my first true love when we dated for 7 years and never broke up. she past away 3 years ago?

i am now 23 and feel like i can not date again for me and my gf never broke up

I went thru that myself. I was engaged to the love of my life, and one night 2 1/2 weeks before our wedding (after an arguement about his drinking) he wrecked his truck, and was killed. I am the one they called to id the body. After that it took me 4 years to realize he WASN'T coming back to me, and there was nothing I could do about it.

It has been 7 years since the accident. I am married, with 3 kids (one named after him). Sure I still think about him, I even cry about missing him. But my husband understands that has had a major impact on my life. He knows that I will always love my "ex", but he also knows that he does not need to compete with a 'ghost'.

What I am trying to say is, would your girlfriend want you to be alone in misery for the rest of your life? Or would she want you to go out and find someone that accepts what has happened?

you can never get over that i know how that feels and its hard to get over your first and you never will because of wat happened in your situation you will always remeber her but i think she would tell you to move on and find another gf so i would look for a new gf because you will never have her back i kno that sounds bad but its the truth and i know how hard it is to get over because ive gone through the same thing except i wasnt with my bf as long as you were with ur gf but i think she would want you to move on but never forget about her she will always have a part in your heart but you got to get out your still young so you will find another gf sooner or later well good luck on findin a new gf and never forget about you first just go find a new one and i hope u find the right one for you so good luck on finding the right one
