Go to your pharmacy and get a can of Solarcaine (it's a spray-on medication that numbs the sting of the burn...it feels SOOOOOO good!).

Stay out of the sun for a few days.

Shower/bathe in cool water using gentle and moisturizing soaps (Oil of Olay, Caress, etc.).

Use moisturizers (Noxema, cocoa butter, Aloe Vera, etc.).

Cucumbers numb the skin, but you need A LOT of them for a full body burn.

Good luck!

There is nothing that is fast. The skin must heal on it's own. Aloe Vera can give you cool feeling, also, try to get an aloe lotion with menthol. There is no good way to avoid the next few days, sorry.

Dont go back out in the sun for a few days. Have cool showers, use aloe vera. There isnt much you can really do other then these things as you just have to wait until the heat comes out of your skin from the sun.

Don't get mad at me if you hate this, but I have heard that vinegar can help the pain...I haven't had a bad sunburn so I can't share from personal experience, but if I did, I would probably make a 50/50 solution with water and cider vinegar, put it in a spray bottle and spray my skin.

If it is really painful, you can also take aspirin or ibuprofen which can help the pain and inflammation.

First put vinegar on it, it will help it tp not peel so much. then spray Solarcaine or First Aide Spray for Burns on it. It will cool it and take the burn out and it is easier to spray on to sunburn then to rub lotions and crap on it. Wear light clothing and stay out of the sun. You can also once it starts to not burn so much put like Polysporin or Neosporin on it. It is a 1st degree burn if it gets awful large blisters it is a 2nd degree burn!!! You may need to go the emergency room if it is that bad!!! They will maybe send you to the burn center in hospital!!

a friend tried taking a shower and slowly turning up the heat as much as you can take for as long as possible - this definitely increases blood to the area and hurts like hell - i tried it too with a bad burn - it worked for me, stopped the blistering and itching after a hot 15 min shower. but check w/ a doctor first - as everyone is different. Oh lightly pat dry w/ towel or not / crank the ac and use lots of pure aloe. good luck

fill the tub and add a cup of vinegar for the burning- luke warm water.

when you get out put some aloe on it - and cocoa butter should help for the peeling- but if you are really burnt- you may get a blister or 2 and for sure you can look forward to some peeling!

keep an eye on it, if you get some blisters, you should stay out of the sun for awhile- maybe talk to a doctor about it because if you burn yourself, you will be susceptible to getting skin cancer much easier. Most likely you will be fine once your burn lets up- I bet it feels like you are still cooking!

Run a cool bath and put half a small bottle of apple cider vinegar in it. It relieves the sting and will turn the burn brown by morning. Also take 2 asprin or tylenol, it will help relieve the pain and reduce the fever from the burn. Aloe also help relieve it.

Try aloe vera. You should be able to get it from most drugstores. It usually comes as a green gel. It's very soothing and will reduce the inflammation. I'm from Arizona, we get burned all the time! Hope you feel better.
