I notice a lot of biblical prophecies seem to be just vague guesses about what could or couldn't happen. Like this one: "There will be wars and rumors of wars" I think that is a pretty obvious statement. I could say that in 100 there would be wars and rumors of wars and it would most likely come out as true.
Also, saying things like there would be famine and tsunamis. There have alwasy been!
It just seems like it was a guessing game.

Bluebonnet, the south of Israel leads to the Red sea.
I have read the bible and I could compare them to Roman events. Nero would be the false prophet or antichrist. Wars were always happening then.
Or I could compare them to ww1 or ww2.
See?

These vague guesses that you talk about are not always so vague when you realize that they were written between 2,000 years to 3,500 years ago. You tell me what the earth will be like 3,000 years from now. Do you think that there will still be wars and rumors of wars?
Or in 3,000 years we may have completely destroyed ourselves, or maybe the Bible is right and there will be no earth in 3,000 years.
You are right when you say a one world goverment is coming, the Bible has predicted that too.

You can see that you've opened a big can of worms with your question.
I think that your stament in valid.
I suppose we need to remember to keep studying to make sure we are on the right track, if we are, then who cares when it happens. People who are not are and should be worried- all they have is their pathetic life here, with all of their selfish greed and material possessions, no real happinness.
SO, study, then understand all of the various biblical prophecies. It is true that many of the prophecies have already happened in the past, but are those the instances being discussed in the Bible ? WHO KNOWS ! Only one knows. everyone else is just guessing.
The Preacher at my Church is convinced that we are on the last 'seal', I am undecided.
Good Luck in your search.

Since the turn of the century, more people have been killed by war, since records have been kept. And with the world and the radicals siding up against each other, it can really be a bloody one this time.
Since the turn of the century, more earthquakes and other natural bad occurrences have occurred since records have been kept.
Yes, when the black plague hit, 25%-50% of the population of the world was killed, depending on what history book you want to follow. But on a global scale, it still was just 250 million people.
Now , since the turn of the century, plague type disease kills millions each year. The disease Aids just may wipe out Africa.
As far as food shortages, check this out. Presently the world can feed itself in abundance with plenty left over. But no. Wicked governments in Africa and Korea and other places, refuse the aid, starving their subjects in a genocide or for other reasons politically.
Friend, the Bible prophecies are so apparent in these times. Please be aware of them.

How about Israel becomes a nation again after being scattered all over the world?
And the generation that sees this happen will be alive on the earth when Jesus Christ comes back to earth.
Israel became a nation again in 1948. Nobody thought it was possible, but the Bible predicted it.
There are too many others to count. Check out this website.

Well Biblical scholars before Jesus came to earth tried to say How he would come and He actually only fulfilled some of the Prophesies about Him and in ways that were not expected but made sense after the fact.
I believe the second coming will be similar. In that we will get it when it's happening but our guesses will probably be way off.
God is too big to be put in a box.

i recommend taking a biblical prophecy class from a bible believer. Someone who has taken the time and effort to research and study; and who has the Holy Spirit's guidance too.
You quote the above quote out of context; there is much detail around that statement as well...also Jesus said, no one knows the day or hour

Big problem with your reasoning--you assume that the rate of war on the planet has always been the same--it hasn't. A quick study will tell you that the 20th century on has seen more war and rumours of war than the previous ones combined!

hahahaha... a guess hahaha... absolutely not... the prophecies point to the same things!! read John's book of Revelation, you must have God given understanding and the Spirit of God within you or it will not come out right. some cannot understand this book and interpret into their own liking...do not add to or take away from God's Holy Word please should you read this book because of my mentioning of it. what i look for is what Jesus told me to look for, people who come and claim to be the Messiah, they will mislead many people, but not me, because i know what to look for, i look for the signs, look for the signs. be ready and keep ur eyes peeled because the next hour could potentially be when Christ arrives and all the signs fall into place

Well, you have a point. Wars and rumors of war do not necessarily indicate the end times, but the end times will definitely have some wars.
