Well, I'm a doctor and would definitely advice to take him to the ER today. It's not because he will bleed badly, but because most likely he will get obstructed with a clot inside his urethra (the canal where he pees), the urine won't come out, and your poor grandpa will start having severe pain from a distended bladder in 12 to 24 hours. And if you say he has Alzheimer's (not sure how severe), he won't probaly be able to tell you that he is in pain. Take him now to the ER, most likely he won't be admitted anyway unless the bleeding is severe. He will probably get a Foley catheter put in his penis to ensure he is able to void and be referred to a primary care physician or better, a urologist.

Causes are varied, but at his age the most common causes are
- straining from an enlarged prostate.
- prostate cancer
- stones (they usually don't bleed that much)
- other types of cancer in the urinary system, like bladder cancer, ureteral cancer or kidney cancer.
- use of anticoagulants (Warfarin, Coumadin).

Anyway, in this case it won't help not taking him to the doctor, he will need to go anyway sooner or later, so do it sooner before things get worse. Hope it helps. Any other question, mail me.

Start saving for retirement now and don't borrow or withdraw from that retirement account. Having the ultra-modern type or essentially the most footwear or anything isn't all that foremost; having sufficient cash you'll simply get to will have to you lose your activity is foremost. Learn the right way to socialize and manage humans early so you'll get plenty of train in when you consider that within the grownup international, you in general need to face any individual as an alternative than textual content them. There's not anything quite new with intercourse; humans were having intercourse and in all method, on account that lengthy lengthy lengthy earlier than you probably did.

Please take my advice seriously.
Your grandfather could be suffering prostate cancer or serious genital tract infection.
Call the doctor and report your mother refusing to give him medical assistance.
