If I go get a hamburger from Mcdonalds, I don't think its really that unhealthy as they say it is. I think that its the fries, soda, and the shakes that are full of bad stuff. But a hamburger has meat, lettuce, and such which is good for protein and such.

You are absolutely right, that the fries, sodas and shakes are full of bad stuff. Hamburger is good protein, and if it's properly cooked, there is nothing wrong with it. People have an image of McD as cooking hamburgers in loads of oil and grease, but if you watch them cooking, they keep cleaning the fat OFF of the grill, not adding it. The fat cooks out of the meat, and that's a good thing, because you don't want to eat beef suet. The thing about McD burgers that might not be too healthy is that they add quite a bit of salt, and most people consume too much salt as it is. Add the salt in the fries and you have a real sodium overload.
But a basic hamburger with lettuce and onion (you can get it without the cheese and sauces) is perfectly sound nutrition.

Keep in mind, in order to preserve the meat through shipping, there are a lot of additived in it. Also, due to the seasoning, there is a lot of sodium in burger, which causes to retain more water. A plain hamburger has 265 calories and 10 grams of fat. It also contains transfat.

Well..it depends really.
The hamburgers from McDonalds are fried in grease or oil or something like that..so that makes it unhealthy.
But if you just take a hamburger patty..put it in a pan and cook it without all of the oil and grease..it really isn't that bad for you.
So after all..it really just depends.
