the locol council is classing american staffy and pitbulls are both a breed of pitbull and dangerous dogs.

AKC and UKC were founded at about the same time.
UKC focused on working and sporting dogs, and AKC focused on pet, companion and show dogs.
Any AKC Staffy can be registered as both a UKC American Pit Bull terrier, and an AKC American Staffordshire Terrier.
However, a UKC American Pit Bull Terrier can't be cross registered as an AKC Staffy.... If it is UKC first. and doesn't have duel registered parents.
The UKC pit.bull terrier has a closer lineage to the fighting/sporting dog. AKC Staffies have been bred as just pets and companions for more generations.

People say that pit bulls are only violent if raised that way, but this is not true. All pit bulls may not have a violent instinct but most do, because they have been bred as fighting dogs for a long time. Even when they are not raised for a specific purpose, specialized dog breeds tend to have the urge to do what their ancestors were bred to do, for instance; sled dogs pull, terriers dig, tracking dogs track, hunting dogs hunt, guard dogs are protective. Why some people think you can take out in one generation what has been bred into a dog is beyond me.

pitbulls are a breed of staffy..the staffy is a registered breed..most pitbulls arent..ukc doesnt regognize pitbull as a breed

well the class is the same ..but neither are dangerous animals ...it's the owner thats dangerous ...
well that could be dangerous depending on how they raise the animal....
my favorite type of dog by the way .... i just like the more mild ones that dont get raised like animals used for fighting or other stupid s*it
