For those who do not know what Bells Palsy is,,,It is a condition where the nerves behind either your right or left ear become inflamed do to stress or a virus and it causes the nerves to stop working and you lose most , if not all muscle control on that one side of your face...It temporally parolizes(spelt wrong) them and right now I feel like a freak...An I am afraid that because I have had it so many times in my life that I am gonna stay this way....HELP!!

And yes. I have been seen by my doctor and being treated for it.

Bells Palsy is a very difficult disease to treat because there are numerous causes that could lead to inflammation of the facial nerve. Some people have speculated Herpes Simplex Virus infection can cause the nerve to become inflammed. HSV is not curable, but in a normal person their immune system keeps it from expressing its self. If you have had chicken-pox or cold sores, you have been infected with HSV. Interesting about HSV is that it can become reactivated for unkown reasons (stress, infection, etc) and it travels down nerves to the skin where you see the symptoms. This is commonly called Shingles and is simply the HSV virus reactivating and moving down the nerve. If the facial nerve is affected, it can become inflammed and cause bells palsy when an outbreak or reactivation occurs. Diabetics are 4x more likely to aquire bells palsy, and pregant women are at a higher risk. There are many, many reasons as to why the facial nerve would be inflammed and talking with your Dr. would be the best bet, and if he/she can't help, ask to see a Neurologist, maybe they can help. The biggest thing you can do is try to prevent it from reoccuring. Limit your stress level, this can reactivate HSV (if thats your cause). Keep your immune system healthy, and make sure your diet is including all vitamins and minerals needed to ensure your immmune system is in tip-top shape. Good Luck.

I got identified with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about five years ago, whilst I was still attending college and had a mindless one-night stand. I realize a lot of girls say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a huge mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date other men again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl that has sores around her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/fhQPX everything improved.

Not only was I able to clear away all remnants of the hsv from my system in less than 3 weeks, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everyone in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This program provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love again. Now I want to help others too by sharing this story.

As you know Bells Palsy can be stress induced. And can return easily if the stressors in your life get to be to much to handle. I have seen it return numerous times. It got to the point where the Dr. had to put the patient on anti anxiety meds to keep the Palsy at bay. Try to keep your stress down and your spirits high. I recommend long quiet walks. Exercise is a great stress releaser.

I do not have this personally, but I am a fan of professional wrestling, and I know that one of the announcers on Monday Night Raw, Jim Ross, has Bells Palsy...he is one of the best sports announcers I have seen, and he has not let it affect his work.
