Saturday Im getting baptized. I will be dedicating myself to Jehovah in front of all the people at the convention saying I want to be one of his witnesses. I want to do his will. Im so excited. Im a little scared though...I havent told my mom or dad or family yet. What words of encouragement can you guys give. Thanks

That is wonderful as long as you have taken the right steps to salvation. If you have repented of your sins and are being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ as stated in Acts2:38 and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost! You are well on your way to becoming a soldier in the army of the Lord! The advice i give you is to read your bible and before you read ask God to give you a understanding of the scriptures. God would not have His people to be ignorant.

I'm very happy for you. Tell your parents the truth---they may want to be a part of the ritual.
A the end of the day, you may want to take the time to write down as much as possible about what happened and how you felt. It will give you inspiration for many years to come.

If you are truly dedicating yourself, you shouldn't be here, on this website endangering your spirituality with non-believers and worldly people. You are clearly to immature to commit to what you are doing. If you want words of encouragement, stick to your congregation.

Congratulations!!!! Do they know you have been studying? If so, just tell them, if not, just tell them. No matter what Jehovah is there to help you, you will be just fine! Your in Jehovah's place of worship and you know everyone will be applauding you! I started studying last May, and am progressing well. Way to go again. Personally, I think that Jehovah witnesses are just Christian-wanna-be's! Christians are the really amazing people!

God bless you ...just make sure this is what you want to do. This is a very big step and you don't want to make it lightly. Talk with your parents and the minister or elders. They will be able to guide you in the right direction.

Don't forget your towel. One of my Mom's Bible studies forgot to bring hers, my Mom had never thought about her not bringing a towel. I do hope you will talk to your parents. Congrats on the Baptism. I was "dunked" on 12-08-01.

If that is what you want, then go for it. But I suggest you tell your parents, your baptism may not be valid if you do not have their permission if you are under age; and you did not mention your age. I wish you well.

if you feel you are doing the right thing in your heart it does not matter what your mom are dad think it is between you and God. so i would say to you walk the good walk, and fight a good fight and fallow your heart God bless you
