Okay, so based on your theory - Ruth 2:10 - is Ruth claiming to be God here?
1 Sam 1:15 - and here Hannah is God
and 1 Kings 2:22 - King Solomon himself says his brother is older than " I am" - Does that mean his brother was older than God? Or are all of these just examples of how you mis-interpreted one verse in the Bible? Jesus was around before Abraham. That's all he meant. He was a spirit creature in the heavens before Abraham ever came to existence. It's simple - don't make it out to be something else.

There are religions where people say "I am". That doesn't mean they think they are God, although they may feel they are a part of God, as did Jesus. No writing is accurate. How could it be when noone was there at the beginning, or if you include Adam and Eve, they had not yet invented a language and could not pass on their experiences.

Jesus reached the Divine spark within himself. He gave away his human will, his human desires for the sake of God's Will. So he became Godlike, while in his human flesh. I don't think there is anything harder that a human can do on this Earth. So he showed to people what God wanted from us as humans. He wants us to make a conscious choice and choose God's will, even if it's the most painful way; we should not put our intellect, abilities or principles before God. Jesus could easily escape his destiny and get away from crucification and pain. But having realized the God's will, he knowingly chose it. And when Jesus did it, he realized what God was, and his Godly nature came through. So he was one with God, and he let God work through him and he was God in human flesh. He showed everyone that we as humans can do the same. this is the way I understand it. hope it helps..

The oldest manuscripts of the book of John are actually translated thus for the verse you refer to:
"Jesus said to them: "Most truly I say to you, Before Abraham came into existence, I have been." (John 8:58)

Jesus consistently contradicts himself concerning his Godly status. "I and my father are one." (John 14:28) Also see Philippians 2:5-6 Those verses lead us to believe that he is a part of the trinity and equal to his father being a manifestation of him. Yet, Jesus also made many statements that deny he is the perfect men, much less God incarnate. Take the following for example: "Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God" (Matthew 19:17). "My father if greater then I." (John 14:28) Also see Matthew 24:26 Clearly, Jesus is denouncing the possibility of him being the Messiah in those three verses.

He did not think it, He knew it. As for those that ask why he prayed to God if He was God, He prayed to the Father as He says we should asking what we will in His name (Jesus) the Son and HE would send the Holy Spirit to help guide us. God is simply the family name if you will, just like Jones or Smith but it does not make Him any less God.

I'm really not sure what it is you are asking, but I'll give an answer.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jesus Christ is the Word of God. Jesus Christ is God. We only have one God.><>

Jesus did not think he was God, he knew he was the son of God. Don't take two words and think you know something that isn't. If you wan't a real debate, if you are sure why not quote book and verse? So everyone can find easily.
