I think to be Christ like is to live in peace. To forgive, to be of service to humanity. To be nonjudgmental and compassionate. He healed the lepers and the physically and mentally sick. To try and live your life with wisdom. The way I try to do it is to look at each person I meet as someone with a right to be respected and cared for. Some days are hard because I loose my patience especially with my closest loved ones. I forgive. I give of my time and money and resources but most of all my friendship. I know lots of things the bible says but I go with what Jesus said. Even if you don't think he is the son of God he was so unbelievable awesome that in 2006 we are talking about him in a yahoo question room. How could anyone come close to how he lived? Hard to do. but if everyone tried just a little bit this world would be so much better. The bitterness, the hate, the emptiness would all be lessened. To be Christlike is to be better than we ever thought we could be. you are right it is a good question. Peace.

I'm not sure... and I could be wrong, here, but I thought the question was looking for more of... I don't know, a testimony of sorts of what individuals were doing in their own lives that demonstrates their attempt at being christ-like.

I got the impression... he was aware of the attributes associated with Jesus, as described in the Gospels.

Like I said, I could be wrong.

When I was six years old, my mother gave me a tiny bible with that colorful painting on the cover of Jesus sitting with animals of all kinds lowing around him. My family wasn't Christian, but I became one right then and there because that beautiful painting spoke so profoundly to my young and uncorrupted soul. I thought, whoever that man was, the kind of man he was to be creating so much peace around him, was someone I would believe in. What a shock it was to find out later that most Christian faiths aren't peaceful. I read that bible once a year from six years old on and then wrote my name in it. When my daughter was six years old, I gave it to her because, one day when some "good Christian" disparaged me publicly for not being a church-goer, my little girl, so young and uncorrupted, ran and got that bible and said, "I know what you believe in." And, I could tell that she truly understood the most important part of my spirituality, just based on that painting and what it meant. She read that bible every year and signed her name in it every year, too. And, last month, she gave it to my granddaughter on her sixth birthday.

An elevated advanced soul that distributes God consciousness to the whole of society, regardless of race, colour or creed.

Is devotional toward God with every thought, word and deed and is compassionate/non-violent to all living entities.

Teaches with knowledge, wisdom and by example, is distressed to see the suffering in the world due to blindness toward spiritual matters.

Is kind and selfless, prepared to sacrifice himself to liberate others.

Understands the real meaning of Love and how to distribute it.

Jesus walked on this earth, healing the sick raising the dead and preaching the word of God, he was a holy man,he honored and followed Gods laws,we are not him he was the perfect man but we strive to be perfect and acceptable to God as he was, but since we are human, we will always fall far from being perfect like him, but we do have peace in knowing ,what ever we do, even though it's not perfect we can get forgiveness for our short comings and not have to worry about it again,

Also non-christian here. . .

What PANGEL said.

He just lived the kind of life to set an example for the rest of us. Absolutely amazing, and his message seemed to be that you and I could do the exact same thing (maybe not today or tomorrow, but we can become like him).

Christ-like should be the ultimate goal for ANY spiritual seeker, anywhere!

Christ-like means sacrifice. I apply it to those who give themselves completely up to God to do his will rather then what they want to do, because they see the bigger picture.
