Has anyone ever seen Miss Saigon, or any other musical that you thought was great? I saw it and I thought it was amazing. I am looking forward to seeing Les Miserables soon too. I can't wait. I have seen Phantom of the Opera twice and it is incredible!

Phantom of the Opera

Chorus Line

Cats

Oklahoma

South Pacific

Sound of Music

Brigadoon

Half A Sixpence

Best Foot Forward

Golden Boy (w/Sammy Davis, Jr.)

Funny Girl (with Barbra Streisand...and yes, for this and the previous listing I actually saw those two stars performing)

Peter Pan

Music Man

too many others to list

Whistle down the Wind - Liverpool Empire Theatre- Amazing!
Grease - Liverpool Empire Theatre- Awful.
The King and I - Liverpool Empire Theatre- Pleasant
Phantom of the Opera - Her Majesty's Theatre - Incredible!!
Les Misérables - Queen's Theatre - Brilliant!!!
Blood Brothers - Liverpool Empire Theatre - Beautiful.
I hope to see Chicago in October in Manchester and see wicked next summer when it comes to London.
Miss Saigon has never really appealed to me because the songs I've heard from the show, the singers are disgraceful really bad. However if the show is anything like Les Miserables because the same guys made the 2 shows I wouldn't object to watching it.

Yes i have seen many musicals and wasn't very disappointed with any of them. My least favorite was deffinitly Monty Python's Spamalot. It didn't really have any plot to it, but the music was great. Phantom of the Opera was amazing!!! I loved just listening to them sing. All of the special effect were sooo cool. The most recent one that i have seen was 2 days ago. I saw Suessical the Musical. It was pretty good. The Cat in The Hat actually came out into the audience. It was amazing. It was also very funny. I was laughing through the whole show. Footloose was pretty cool. But i haven't actually seen that by pro's. It was a college youth theater production of it. But i was still very impressed.

Some of my other favorites were:
Grease-loved it!
Annie-sooo cute
The Music Man-just great
West Side Story-I cried!
and many more...

I love Miss Saigon too!

My other favorites include:
Thoroughly Modern Millie (the play is soooooo much better than the movie from the 60s with Julie Andrews)
Jekyll & Hyde (don't watch the video, David Hasselhoff should be shot!)
Into the Woods (actually, I liked the videoed version of this one -- Bernadette Peters is hilarious!)
Carousel
Les Mis (obviously)
Crazy for You
Showboat (I actually played Kim in this one -- adult Kim, I mean)
A Little Night Music
Anything Goes
Brigadoon
Guys and Dolls

You need to hurry if you are going to see Les Mise, for it will be over this season, for good (so they say). I was lucky enough to see it in London. I was on my way to buy a ticket for My Fair Lady, but I was a little lost. I ended up in a "bad" part of town, and a gentleman grabbed my arm and shoved me on a bus. He told me I was about to be mugged there, at the bus stop. It turned out that he was an extra in Les Mise, and he went with me to the ticket booth. I got an incredible seat, discounted. The musical moved me deeply. In fact, it was so perfect that when I saw Phantom, a week later, I couldn't help but be disappointed. My friends who saw Phantom said, "You will cry," but I didn't because nothing (in my opinion) can ever compare to Les Miserables for a complete and utter soul-wrenching experience! I do love Phantom, in retrospect, but I wish I had seen it first! Good luck getting a ticket, and damn! I wish I could go with you! You are going to love it! Let us know what you think after you see it!

Let's see, Oklahoma(a great musical, especially when it was done with Hugh Jackman), Grease, Phantom of the Opera, Music Man, South Pacific, Sound of Music

~Below are my fave parts of Oklahoma

~"I don't say I'm no better than anybody else, but...I'll be darned(sorry don't swear so had to change it) if I ain't just as good."
~the song "Lonely Room"(especially when Jud threw the table off stage-was at a small theater production of it)
~"He looks like he's asleep, it's ashame that he won't keep, but it's summer and we're running out of ice."(picture Curly rocking Jud back and forth, it's pretty darn funny)

There have been some really great ones over the last few years, and I'm sure in time there will be even more.
But my personal favorite is still The Man of La Mancha, based on the live of Cervantes and his classic novel Don Quixote.
I am a huge fan of The Knight of the Woeful Countenance and what he tried to accomplish in life, even if the world did not understand him.
