It was my dads, is it a good Scotch? Have you ever heard of it? and do you think it is still good .I will keep it ,but if anyone has any info!, thank you.

yes, the bottle has three big dimples in it and it is a 12 year old .

This is a premium blended whisky of "over thirty malt and grain whiskies, including a number of rare whiskies from Haig's treasured reserves of the most matured Highland malts." The "pinched decanter was the the first three-sided bottle to be registered as a trade mark in the U.S."
In its Scottish home, and indeed everywhere outside the USA, it is known as Dimple after the dimple like depressions in the bottles.
The whisky is fine to drink now. Once bottled, whisky neither improves or deteriorates. And because of that it has no particular added value just because the bottle is old.
The brand was launched in 1890 and there are currently three versions, 12, 15 and 18 years old.

Haig is a very good Scotch. You may have heard of their 12 YO brand, Dimple. Scotch can improve slightly in the bottle and if it is 1960, it should have mellowed somewhat.

Yes it is still good and is a very good and expensive brand..--but it ages in oak barrels so it is not getting any better---so go a head and serve it at a party...
