That bothers me so much! A couple of months ago I flew to Atlanta Georgia,to visit a sick friend.I went to this church and it had a lot of black people. While I was sitting I could hear people whispering saying stuff like this "why is there a white man in our church". I felt bad but then it made me realy angry when I asked some of my black freinds. They said the only people who know god is black people.Since then a lot of people have been saying that.I feel that anyone can know god no matter if your black, white, spanish, ect.

ignorance is the reason. sounds like you were in a church full of uneducated bigots. Why is there a B.E.T., and a U.N.C.F., and Black History Month? There is no White Entertainment Television, united white man college fund, and a white man history month. not to mention the fact that no white man has ever had a bunch of gibberish recognized as a language(Ebonics).
America is a melting pot. no race is specific. white man took it from the natives, brought in the blacks, and opened the gate for all others. if anyone thinks they are better than the rest, or that they are the only race that "god" loves......i can only blame lack of education, or mental retardation, or in most cases, plane old IGNORANCE!

Deuteronomy 10:17 tells us that God treats none with partiality. 1 Samuel 16:7 lets us know that God does not look at the outward appearance or possessions but according to what the person is and does is what God sees. In that case, he doesn't see us as a human does, by skin color. For one to say that one race of people is closer to God than others in this day and time shows a lack of familiarity with God on their part. Back in biblical times, God did have a chosen people who were to be closer to him than all else. The Israelites...but they, although they agreed to worship him in the way pleasing to him, constantly disobeyed him. The last straw came when they rejected God's son henceforth rejecting God. From that point on, all were given the opportunity to draw close to God. Besides in reality, did not all races come from one set of parents, Adam and Eve so we are not black, white, spanish, etc but instant a part of one race the human race.

BALONY!! oh how horrible it will be for the ones who asked , " why is a white man here" and snickered because ur skin is not darkened!! this angers me really! i go to a church where there are mostly white people and i feel RIGHT at HOME!! it should not MATTER!! what colour u are and u know what sweetheart it doesnt. buck up, how are u going to let those people tell you that and question if they are right...for them to say that , they must'nt know God themselves because if they did they wud understand that God made many people of different races and we are to LOVE EVERYONE! as a brother or a sister in Christ name. May God bless u with inward strength to laugh in the face of racism. God bless

First of ll, I have never heard that before, but I do know that GOD don't like ugly. God was not prejudice against anyone, not because of race, color, gender, nothing. He even loved the poor, prostitutes, lepers, ALL people, so for someone to say that only black people can Know GOD is pretty arrogant, as well as ignorant. Perhaps they don't know GOD as well as they think and should close their mouths and open their ears and listen to the word.

You hear in the news how white people are so racist against the blacks, how whites beat down the blacks, how blacks are the minority ........ It is the total opposite.....first of all, blacks out number whites! Blacks will turn the race card against whites every chance they get and then when a white person wants to "make peace" they act as if they are better than them or that the white person wants to "oppress" them. Blacks are not any closer to their god than any other race.......look how much of the black chruches have integrated "voodoo" into their christian ceremonies......

Oh, don't pay any attention to it. I would have felt uncomfortable too, but they shouldn't have been behaving this way, how loving is that? Would Jesus have been pleased?
God does not show favoritism, and He loves us all. This is all a scam from the evil one to get people all topsy turvey to get their minds off of the Lord.
Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, don't look to the right, or to the left, just straight ahead, you go boy!

Coz some are just ignorant and hypocrites...some of them will be totally into it when in church, but when the sermon, mass, whatever they want to call it, is over...they just go back to their usual selves, no better before than coming in.

I've never heard of anyone saying that. I have found 'black' churches to be friendly and refreshing. They accept with loving and open arms.
