I heard recently on National Public Radio that there are more cats than dogs in the USA but more dog owners because cat owners have more pets per owner.

I know about 3 or 4 years ago more americans had pet cats then dogs for the fist time by numbers.It was always dogs up to then.

Dogs are more popular than cats. If you want to get a pet for your daughter, a dog is better than a cat.

Hi,,,seems that i read about a survey on this subject.... I think that Dogs won.... but actually I like cats also......

I should i have inherited 9 of them...and 4 dogs.....
never a dull moment around the house.......lol

As it becomes more and more difficult to find a place to live that allows dogs,the more popular choice will be cats. but dog people don't usually start getting cats.yes it is difficult to find a place to live that allows dogs.that is one of the reasons there are so many in shelters.And burglaries are growing.

There are in fact more cats owned than dogs. Probably because many people have more than one cat.
