You free feed your bird. And make sure you don't just feed him seed. That's not what they eat in the wild. Mine lived to be 37 years old, and the vet had not seen one that old raised from birth because people do not feed them properly. You can get a little book at the pet store. Mine loved a little spaghetti, steak, all fruits and vegetables, and pretty much liked to taste everything. They are awesome pets and I was blessed to have her.

I keep a dish of the "kibble" foods availible at all times, that way I don't have to worry about him getting hungry. He can snack whenever he wants. Then twice a day give the fresh food (vegetables, fruit, vegie burger) in a seperate dish. I leave the dish in with him for a half hour or so and remove anything he didn't eat. That way, he can't eat spoiled food, and I know just how much is "normal" for him to eat.
Normal varies by the individual bird. What you are feeding sounds fine to me though. Watch him, learn his likes and dislikes and keep track of his appetite.
Hope this helps, Good Luck

Does he still have food in his bowl in the pm or is it all gone? If it is gone then I would suggest giving him more.
