Thanks.

You didnt answer me, If you beleive he wasnt the Son of God how can you claim to believe he is a prophet?

2006-07-29 13:30:27 · update #2

You cant claim their is a problem in the Bible because the diety of Jesus is the central theme of the whole new testament. If he is not the Son of God, he is not the saviour.

Marhadiasa K
Our King James Bible was translated from the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts. Their are many corrupted Bibles, (NIV, NRSV, ect) but the King James is Gods preserved word in English. Any Bible that denies the diety of Christ is straight from Hell.

Felix, What kinda answer is that??
I'm getting tired of typing this but those pepole who murder and destroy are NOT Christians! Unlike the Koran, there is no justification for that in our Bible.

Ok to me it seems like whatever agrees with islam in the Bible is correct and anything else is rejected.

1) Adam and eve are sons of God but Jesus is the only BEGOTTEN Son of God. He came directly from God.

2) These things were created secondary to God himself, i.e created out of the creation.

3) Isaiah 53 (speakingof Jesus)
V1: Who hath beleived our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

V3: He shall be dispised and rejected; a man of sorrows and aquainted with greif and we hid as it were our faces from him he was dispised and we esteemed him not.

V10: Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to greif: When thou shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall prolong his days and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

4) Jesus was born through immaculate conception... by the power of God's spirit. But for him to become fully human, he had to be born out of a woman. And since he was born of Mary, the wife of Joseph, Jesus as a human had a human father in the figure of Joseph.

5)The only way that God can redeem the world was for His son to be one with the world so that his blood may be shed as the ultimate sacrificial offering that will save mankind. Jesus was the lamb that was slain. John 3:16 For God so loved that world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life... If God wasnt powerful, how could he have had his son begotten or born of flesh? The issue is not God's powerlessness but His LOVE for the world
6) Jesus felt hungry because he was made human.

2006-07-30 02:38:30 · update #10

7) Jesus was harmed because that was part of God's plan of redemption. And Jesus was made human. (Refer to Isaiah 53)
8) Jesus came into this world as a human being. He had to be born and to die because it was how God intended to use his life to save mankind.

I mean no offense either. We Muslims believe Jesus as a major prophet. Not son of God. We have strong logic behind this belief.
Can you answer my questions?

1. Why Adam & Eve are not sons & daughters of God when God created them without parents?
2. What about all living beings which God created without both father & mother for the first time?
3. If Jesus was son of God, then why only 120 people accepted his prophethood at that time, rest of all spit on him, insulted him, terrorized him and eventually killed him (Christian belief) but God didn't save him?
4. If we take Jesus born without 'father' then how come God is his father?
5. As God is all powerful & compared to no one then how come he beget a son like humans?
6. God doesn't need any food nor any shelter. But why Jesus felt hungry and sought rest & comfort?
7. No one can do any harm to God, but how come people murdered Jesus?
8. God has no beginning & no end, how come Jesus was born & eventually died?
9. Eventually Jesus's incapability of saving himself turned into love & forgiveness, and named "died for our sins"?

I know you'll say that in Bible it is stated Jesus is son of God. Why would I believe this? because Jesus said so. We believe:
1. Gospel was revealed to Eesa (Jesus).
2. There is no longer any book that remained as it was revealed by Allah, neither the Gospel nor anything else, apart from the Qur’aan.

Bible was surely a valid source of truth. But it was written by people long after Jesus disappeared, whose level of knowledge and honesty is unknown. The contradictions in these books and their shortcomings are among the strongest evidence that they have been distorted and that they are not the Gospel (Injeel) that Allaah revealed to Jesus.

The difference between Islamic belief and Christian belief on Jesus can be outlined in four points as follows:

1. Divinity: Only God is divine in Islam. No one else is divine, including prophets, such as Jesus and Muhammad.

2. Trinity: Muslims believe that trinity is NOT compatible with the oneness of God. The idea of three-in-one is not convincing to Muslims.

3. Crucifixion: The Qur'an teaches us that Jesus was not crucified; rather, God saved him from his enemies and raised him to Heaven.

4. Lastly, Muslims believe in the Second Coming of Jesus, but our belief in his Second Coming is less dramatic than the way portrayed by the Christian fundamentalists in North America. Our Jesus at the end of time is not coming for the Armageddon War or destruction of the world; he is more loving and peaceful than what Christian fundamentalists claim.

===============================================

Why would He need to beget a son like human when He is Omnipotent? And Jesus came directly from God but Adam & Eve didn't doesn't make much sense. So they came indirectly? How? While they were created first?

In Qur'an, "Certainly they disbelieve who say: Surely, Allah-- He is the Messiah, son of Marium (Mary). Say: Who then could control anything as against Allah when He wished to destroy the Messiah son of Marium and his mother and all those on the earth? And Allah's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them; He creates what He pleases; and Allah has power over all things." (5:17)

You said, "Jesus was made in human form" it proves that Jesus can't be a son of God. Because all other humans are humans, they are just like Jesus, get born & die. So no distinction. You may say Jesus healed diseases like God. No. Lots of other prophets did more amazing things by will of God. It was the will of God.

If you really examine the Christian teaching on human sin with an open mind, you will see that they say that God sacrificed His only son to atone for the sins of mankind, and that this son was a god. If it was true that he was a god who was beaten, insulted and crucified, and died, then this doctrine contains elements of blasphemy because it accuses God of weakness and helplessness. Is God really incapable of forgiving the sins of all His servants with just one word? If He is Able to do all things (and the Christians do not dispute this fact), then why would He need to sacrifice His son in order to achieve the same thing?

An ordinary man would not accept anyone harming his child; he would come to his defence, and would never hand him over to an enemy who would insult him, let alone leave him to face the worst kind of death. If this is the attitude of a mere created being, what then of the Creator?

<< "Jesus had to be born and to die because it was how God intended to use his life to save mankind." >>

The Christian doctrine of original sin has a negative effect because, as you have mentioned, it does not require any duties of man other than to believe that God sent His son to this earth to be crucified and to die to atone for the sins of mankind. Thus a person becomes a Christian and is to earn the pleasure of God and be admitted to heaven. Moreover, the Christian believes that everything that happened to the son of God was only to atone for his sins, past present and future, so there is no need to wonder why Christian societies have seen such an increase in murder, rape, robbery, alcoholism and other problems. After all, did not Christ die to atone for their sins, and haven’t their sins been wiped out, so why should they stop doing these things? Tell me, by your Lord, why do you sometimes execute murderers, or put criminals in jail, or punish them in other ways, if you believe that the criminal’s sins have all be atoned for and forgiven through the blood of Christ? Is this not a strange contradiction?

You may also say Jesus said, “No one comes to the Father except through me”. We need, first of all, to be sure that these words can truly be attributed to Jesus. Secondly, this is clearly not true. How then could mankind have known God at the times of Nooh (Noah), Hood, Saalih, Yoonus (Jonah), Shu’ayb (Jethro), Ibraaheem (Abraham), Musa (Moses) and other Prophets?

We disbelieve that Jesus ever died. We believe Jesus was taken upto the heavens by will of God, meaning that God saved him. According to the Qur’aan, he was not crucified, but only appeared so. So here we give more respect to Jesus, as God himself lifted him upwards and He will send him back again before end of the time.

There are now more than 60 versions of the Bible(Different versions not translations The different versions of the Bible are not merely different translations, but are actually versions i.e. they add and remove things from other versions)

These revisions serve as concrete proofs that all the Biblical books are not at all divinely inspired. This is because it is beyond man's ability to correct the work of his Creator, who alone is Almighty and perfect

'Sue' Watson - Former pastor, missionary, professor. Master's degree in Divinity who has Embraced Islam said ; It is interesting to note that there were bishops during the first three hundred years of the Church that were teaching as the Muslim believes that Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet and teacher!! It was only after the conversion of Emperor Constantine that he was the one to call and introduce the doctrine of the Trinity. He a convert to Christianity who knew nothing of this religion introduced a paganistic concept that goes back to Babylonian times

If you really examine the Christian teaching on human sin with an open mind, you will see that they say that God sacrificed His only son to atone for the sins of mankind, and that this son was a god. Such humans who ask for devout indicators, will see indicators. This is only mental. They will see indicators out of not anything as a result of 2 elements. The reality our cognitive potential are past the potential of whatever in this Earth. Better than machines, higher than any animal. As a outcome, we will see items in matters. We can see "faces" within the sky. We will also be tricked into seeing matters, we name those matters illusions. We can see popular shapes wherever if we fairly wish. Now, I ask you, what's the so much popular image on Earth? I could argue it to be the Cross. Closely adopted by way of might be Nike? Or McDonalds? Or Coke? Upon recognizing it, now I dont imply simply the move, It could be Gods identify in Arabic, or St Davids famous person for Jews, the individual will see it as a individual signal. They will see this as evidence as they wish to suppose. They don't fully grasp rationality. As a outcome, this meaningless factor will abruptly emerge as a devout, non secular revel in. This is only one rationalization ofcourse. There are many however time is brief.

Yes, there are many Muslims here, we are all around you, can't you see? Many of us believe, in God, just like Christians, but just as there are some bad Christians, so there are some bad Muslims, unfortunately we do not have access to such effective weapons as do most Christians, you may be able to destroy others many miles away at the touch of a button, at least some Muslim brothers have the guts to do it face to face.
