home schooling is the perfect kind of education for many children. to ensure your daughter has plenty of opportunity for socialising find local organisations ad groups for children her age and get her interested in them...
Depending on her age she could:
join a sports team
join girl guides
join cadets of some kind.
enrol for gymnastics, dancing or choir
join a local historical society/ ecology interest group
attend a church
attend local youth groups

Do a yahoo search for home school support groups in your area. There are probably tons. I live in a suburb of Cleveland and there are a lot here, so I'm sure Chicago has a bunch.
Just ignore the ignorant people who say 'put your kids in school to make friends'. School is not the only place to make friends. Home school is one of the best educations your daughter could possibly get. Good for you!

While I don't live in your area or do homeschool, one thing you can do with your daughter depending upon her age is the Civil Air Patrol. It's the Air Force Auxilliary. We have a program for cadets, it's a great socilization program. To get more information go www.cap.gov.

Keep homeschooling, my sis-n-law did and both are in an acceraleted college prep school, the oldest had a 4+ average.
They socialize fine, public schools are a lousy place to learn about friendships... learning about rejection thats another story.

Just because she is homeschooled, why does this mean that she cannot play with other children in her neighborhood? Honestly, I would like to know. Add the info, and let us all know what is wrong with the children on your block, down the street, etc.

Send her to school so that she can socialize and receive her free and appropriate education that she is entilted to receive. Who can she play with if everyone else is in school?
