That's like asking a 13 year old girl to have a baby. Your female is far too young to whelp.
It's clear from your question that you have bought two dogs of the same breed to mate them, but have no idea how to do it. Nobody puts a male and female together and just lets them get on with it unless they want pups.
There's too much to write here, get a breeders manual and find out what to do.
If there are any pups born, you have to know enough first aid to be midwife. You have to know what you can cope with and when to call the vet. You have to check the pups to make sure they're not deformed, specifically that they have an anus, and don't have a hare lip or cleft palette.
The female should have been vaccinated, wormed and de-flead before you mated her. That way the pups are born with enough anti bodies to see them through the first few weeks, plus they get a top up from mums milk. Fleas carry tapeworm.
If you don't even know how to tell if your female is in season, you are not prepared for whelping and breeding.

A dog can get pregnant during her 1st. heat cycle. They usually go into heat at around 6 months of age. That is why the vet will spay them at 6 months of age. If u don't know much about dogs, u need to do some research. 8 months is WAY TOO YOUNG for u'r dog to be having puppies. If u feel she may be pregnant, take her to the vet to find out. If u find she is not pregnant, SPAY HER!!! If u do plan on breeding her, PLEASE research dog breeding. It's a lot more complicated and costly then u think. Good Luck

More people trying to breed that have no clue. At 8 months the female is too young to be having puppies. If she was in heat and you did nothing, she can be pregnant.
Maybe you can get her to a vet and get her checked to see what they think and what the chances are that she can deliver naturally. You owe her that since you did not keep her from getting pregnant in the first place.

Either your dog is pregnant or she is going to have her period, they do!. I would go to the vet just to make sure, and if she is not pregnant and you don't want them mating then I would suggest getting a baby gate or a playpen and separating them when you are not home.

what do you mean ONLY 8 months...a dog can get pregnant at 6 months! Doesn't sound like you are a very informed pet owner. Take her to the vet and please get educated about spaying and neutering.

Yeah she could be, has she come on heat before? You should take her to the vet to check, it's not good for her to have a litter so young.either.

Well if the female is the one that is only 8 months then there is no way that she is preganant.

Lucky you!
Take her to the vet, who will be able to tell you whether and when the little ones are expected.
