Its a historical fact that Islam is the greatest slave trading institution of all human history. The middle east sits at the top of Africa. Muslims have exploited African labor for over 1400 years and are the worlds sole remaining "slave-culture" (where slavery is culturally accepted and practiced).
So...how could even one black person be muslims? Its like a jew worshiping Hitler...its insane. I certainly understand blacks who hate Islam and want to make Muslims pay dearly for 1400 years of slavery but to be a part of Islam? Wow.
Let me ask readers this question -- If the prophet of a religion owned and enslaved members of your race, preferentially, would this be enough for you to reject that religion? "Ofcourse" you say. Well, amazingly, most of Muhammads slaves were black, in fact, the only slaves he describes by race are blacks.

Longago and faraway blacks sometimes owned black slaves, just as whites owned white slaves.

The same reason a Black can be a christian. Muslims and Christians owned and traded black slaves, Muslims primarily from East Africa and Christians from West Africa.
What is important to remember, however, is that black people are not homogenous. There is more genetic diversity among black Africans than any other group, and a s a result there are hundreds upon hundreds of different ethnic groups who don't necessarily feel any particular connection to one another. The slaves were almost exclusively provided for the Europeans and Arabs by black people... rival tribes. Many cheifs got very rich and powerful from it.
So by your own reasoning, Black people shouldn't be Christian, or Muslim, or, indeed, black.
While I see your point, what you are trying to do is tarnish Islam. The fact is that Christianity doesn't come out in any better light. During the crusades, for example, Christians repeatedly attacked Muslim cities with no provocation whatsoever, slaughtering the women and children freely. Let us not forget that before Europeans started trading in black slaves, slavery still existed in much of Christendom. And remember the Romans? Converted to Christianity some time after 300AD (I forget the precise date) but didn't stop capturing, dealing and keeping slaves.
It's an ugly aspect of human history, but unfortunately, slavery has been universal. In fact, one place where it still occurs on a relatively large scale is (you guessed it) Sub-Saharan Africa (read: black Africa if you are geographically ignorant). There are several instances of one tribe being bonded to the service of another. Any child born to the first tribe is essentially property of the second. These people have no rights, no freedom, and are looked upon as being less human by their overlords.
EDIT:
I forgot to mention places like the Benin empire of the medieval period, (and others in the area) which flourished in what is now Nigeria and Benin. It was an entirely black, Muslim kingdom, and it's capital was one of the great centres of learning in the Muslim world. They were not slaves, and they had a rich and vibrant culture with fantastic buildings (some of which ar still standing) and a very profitable trade based economy, providing numerous exotic luxuries to both the Arab and European worlds.

OK. Let me challenge you bigot. Tell me the name of a single slave that the Prophet (SAW) had when he died. You can't because he didn't have any slaves. He bought slaves from the infidels and then freed them if that was what they wished. See the story of Bilal.

Hazrat Bilal:
One of the most famous BLACK Muslims in ISLAM.
Who is there who may be unaware of Hazrat Bilal's intense love for and losing himself into the Apostle's contemplation. Prior to Islam and during the incipience of Islam, his life passed in slavery, amid extreme woes, afflictions and troubles. After manumission, (release from slavery) he remained in the company of the Holy Prophet during residence and in journeys, and used to be his muezzin (one who gives call for prayers) and treasurer.

Search for his story and read about him.
The racist bigot who started this thread can now shrivel up and die.

Very interesting, thank you.
Islam has taken advantage of the problems between blacks and whites in America to sneak in with a bunch of lies and seduce our young black people into a religion of violence and hatred.
For this, we are all to blame....
EDIT: I think we all ought to thank Gadder for his contribution. He sort of proves the point, doesn't he?
