God always was. It is a near impossible thing for the human mind to grasp, I know.

God was invented by man to explain what was at the time unexplainable. Now we have science that can take us back to the moment of creation.

Interestingly, religous fundamentalists will always ask "so where did all the stuff come from that made the big bang" yet fall back on a bizarre circular argument if you ask the same about god and the myth of creation. When asked if god made everything, who made god, they'll respond god was always there. It's a nonsense argument. The difference between science and fundamentalists is that while science will continue to work on the question of what happened before the big bang, the fundamentalists are stuck with their creation story and the god always existed myth; they can't develop it further, because that's not allowed by their faith.

I never understand why no one knows the answer to this...

Ok, here is your answer. Do you believe in electricity? Of course you do, you are not an idiot right? Do you know the "Law of Conservation of Energy"? I know you do.....you are the smart one. But for the 3rd graders out there here it is, "Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be transfered from one form to another". So, asking "who made God" is exactly like asking, "who made energy". NO ONE DID! They cannot be created....they have been around forever. Even if you don't believe God exists you surely believe energy exists so you might as well just ask "who made energy", because you will get the same answer.

Hope that helps.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

the primordial energy forces that existed at the beginning what we can comprehend but dreamily, is what is GOD. that energy is indestructible, conserved as it is, transferable, the beginning and end, if there was a beginning and will there be end, if existed before the beginning it will last after the end. Great thinkers have attempted, and found their own vision of how why and when this god came into existance. self made. self born.
primitive and modern humans observed all nature in the jungles, in the deserts, and out of fear and out of love for the forces of nature, named the creator /male or female concepts/ as GOD.

by 'the' god i will take it you simply mean any god.god seems to have been made by humans who were incapable of assuming the responsibilities for their own actions.so they came up with an all powerful creator who sets a carefully orchestrated stage whereas man can not be held accountable simply by believing in the aspects of god.
god says all have sinned.
god created man in his own image.
since only god can create, does this mean god is a sinner too?
since it says in the bible that god knows everything, then he knew when he put Adam and Eve in the garden that they would sin, that Cain would kill Able, that Noah would have to build an ark, that he would have to send Jesus to die on the cross, etc, etc, etc.'
seems he stacked the deck against mankind?
but then mankind seems incapable of creating a god that does not have the same petty concepts of right and wrong that man is so famous for.
just blame it all on god, that way mankind can go on not being responsible for their own actions.

God is the unversal Law, The law of gravity, the law of physics, etc. God is Law he can not change to suit man. So go head and defy one of Gods Laws and jump off a tall building and see how long you live. So We all Live by Gods law and so nothing can exit with out these governing laws.
