Tepid salt WATER. Tepid being just barely warm and comfortable. Why don't people ask the vet when told to do things what they mean?

I think you mean tepid salt water. This would be about 1/2 teaspoon of salt (I would use sea salt) dissolved in a cup of lukewarm water. Lukewarm is just barely warm, with hardly any heat to it at all. If you can put it on the back of your wrist without feeling discomfort from the heat, that should be about right.

Tepid salt water. Not tepid salt. Tepid is room temp. A little warm...a little cool.

Salt in the eyes? I don't think so! Tepid means warm. Call your vet back BEFORE you do anything, to verify what he/she told you.
If you did not understand your instructions..why did you not ask your vet while you were there?

Tepid means lukewarm. Please don't put salt in your dog's eyes. Did you mean saline solution. Consult your vet about putting salt in your dog's eyes. If your vet told you to put salt in your dog's eyes, get another vet.

I think you should check with your vet, I've never heard of this, and salt in the eye sounds like a bad idea....plus painful!
