Go to Lahaina, it only rains about 10 days/yr. there. In Hawaii if it rains, the tradewinds usually blow them away in 15 min - 1/2 hr. just look @ the sky & the clouds if there's a clearing behind the rain. There is also an enclosed mall in Kahului called Kaahumanu Shopping Center (by the airport) The sidewalks in Lahaina are mostly covered & there are tons of shops & restaraunts on both sides of the street. So you can fill your kid w/ food, they'll fall asleep & you can shop until they get cranky & get them an ice cream or toy & that should last for awhile more. Even if you get a little wet it's still 80 degrees...Aloha! Have Fun.Another place isThe Maui Ocean Center in Maalaea. (15 min from he airport on the way to Lahaina.)

Go to Wal-Mart and buy your toddler some games to play while inside your hotel room. Oh you can always go to the Aquarium or even to the Mall. You could even go take your toddler to the movie theater to watch a kiddie movie.

Go play in the rain with that kid! Lol, ok if this isn't what you were thinking, kids love games. You can do finger paints, read to him, play hide and seek, do a puzzle, play marbles, set up blocks or dominoes and knock them down, dress up really funky, ect. Kids can be etertained easier than you think.
