Just want to know what some people's experiences were with it.

Any suggestions??

Warnings??

Would it be a good idea if the seller has a really good feedback score? I already have someone to alter the dress, so it won't cost much more to have alterations done.

THANKS!!! :)

The dress I would buy would be a sample that a few people have tried on, not one that has been worn in a wedding. :)

I did a while ago. I was very scared, I actually wouldnt open the box for an hour because I didnt want to be dissapointed. But, it ended up exactly as the pictures. I got a already worn dress though- for about 80 dollars (including shipping) it was cleaned and preserved so all i have to do is steam it to get wrinkles out. I would look at the sellers feedback from other buyers, and their score- and also communicate with the seller- ask for more pictures, more description, etc. I like that mine has been worn because i got really good close up pictures, and felt more comfortable than if it was some company in china making it (their real dresses look a lot different from the pictures they post in the auctions) Ebay is pretty safe- you just have to really check out the sellers product, so you get what is pictured. I would stay away from the sellers that "seem to good to be true" cause the picture is probably fake- and you will end up with a dress that needs to be altered all over and look bad. basically- you get what you pay for, unless it is preowned i guess. Good luck! Hope you find something you like.

Any time you are buying on eBay, you should expect the description of the item to be better than you would find in a store (you can't touch it after all). If the description leaves more questions than answers, either the seller is inexperienced (in which case ask A LOT of questions) or doesn't give a crap to put any effort into their sales (how much effort will be put into customer service?).

Clothing sizes are not the same everywhere... ask for different measurements of the dress, not just the manufacturer's size.

Ask about refund policy.. what if the item isn't as the auction states.

Make sure you give yourself enough time to return it and find something else if it doesn't work out... not like you can run back to the store. Take shipping time into account... if crossing borders, things can get slowed down going through customs.

Feedback is very important, but so is taking it in context. If someone filed a negative, did the seller tell them where to get off, or did the seller try to resolve the issue or apologize? Sometimes negatives are retalitory, so read, don't go by only numbers.

Always pay using Paypal if you can - you get buyer protection.

Go for it

Yes, a positive feedback score is a must, also check the sellers return policy, if the dress has a flaw that isnt mentioned in the ebay listing.

I wouldn't personally. I would buy I dress that you can try on before you buy it. And always leave plenty of time for cleaning, pressing and alterations if needed. When ordering special items, you leave yourself open to back orders and the item getting lost in the mail. I orderd a swim suit and even with insurance, it took nearly two months, and I still didn't get it. Had to cancel the order. Dont let that happen to your dress!!!

i've never bought a dress off of ebay, but the fact that it's been worn by who knows how many people and what those how ever many people have done in it i'm not so cool with. try davidsbridal.com. they have $99 specials sometimes

I bought my dress off eBay and it is absolutely perfect! I got it from the Cinderella Shoppe. I chose the Capri Milly in diamond white. I definitely recommend it!
