Someone I know always writes "love" and then their name to me when they write a card. Also, when it was the end of school, they just kind of stared at me for a minute and they said that they're really gonna miss seeing me everyday. There's other stuff too, but i don't feel like typing everything =)

Normally people use words like 'love' 'missing you' etc, to close their letter/cards, but in your case it seems special & can be love, as you mentioned there are other strings attached to it.

Haha, well it might be different in this context! But generally, people, especially girls, write "love" at the end of letters, cards, etc. It doesn't mean "I love you romantically;" it means something more like "I like you as a friend." If a guy is doing it, he is probably doing it to try to get your attention (as he seems to have done!) Hard to say without knowing more details... but if it is a guy that is saying "I love you" before he is even in a relationship with you... I'd watch out. he could be an insecure/possessive type.

OK I will try to answer this. I sometimes end letters with "love" too, it just depends on who and what kind of relationship we have. Friends and family of course I end with it, someone I hardly know I wouldn't do it.

Nah, 'love' can mean lots of things, they may really 'love' you as a friend.
When in doubt, ask them.
Its better to get it out in the open, rather than feel uncomfotable around them all the time.
