How is it that you find where a stud in the wall is at so that i am able to nail something up when I dont have any stud finder and am not able to tell where the stud is at by pounding on the wall and listening?! ?! anyone know and can help plz?

the easiest way to find a stud all your electrical outlets are usually attached to one take off the cover and look which way the box is attached you may have to pull the plug out be careful once you locate the stud measure over 16 inches on center put a small brad nail in to find the stud. if you have a block home the lathing strips may be 24 inches on center

Try measuring from a known stud. Most studs are 16" on center. If you can find one, the rest are easy.

heres a easy trick, look down at the baseboard,and find the nail there, follow the line up once u find a nail in base and u should hit a stud if ur builder trimmed the House right.....
