If your Muslim, and agree that its wrong for 50 something year old men to marry 9 year olds and have sex with them, please say "I am Muslim, and its wrong for 50 year olds to marry 9 year olds".

The reason I make the challenge above is because, in Islam, all Muslims MUST believe the Quran claim that Muhammad was the best example for all humanity to follow for all time. This is the reason why so many Muslims grow beards under the belief that doing as Muhammad did is what Allah wants.

According to the Islamic Sunnah, Muhammad married little Aisha when she was 9 (she was 6 when Muhammad forced engagement). THEREFORE, almost all Muslims will NOT rennounce the practice of super old men marrying and doing little girls...because in Islam, this is not only allowed but consider perfect conduct...anything Muhammad did was the best example.

I WILL ADD THE EXACT REFERENCE SO YOU CAN CHECK TO SEE IF ISLAM REALLY SAYS THIS.

For Peace: - Being able to menstruate is not an indication that a girl is an adult. Psychologically, Aisha was a child. Your Hadith, which I quoted in a similar question, says she was playing with dolls when she was taken to the house of your prophet!!!!

In India, marriage was fixed at childhood,even after born.

Anyway,In those time,a woman at 40 is already too old,most would marry when age reach puberty.
Biologically,we know woman menstruate at 10-16 yrs. Some as early as 6.When do you think reproduction can start?

Most Muslims sharia defines woman puberty at 8.

Today woman get married at 30 plus not for biological reasons , but mental maturity,careers,cultures...So please study World History & Cultures too.

So what has become of Aisha then? Did she became high school dropped-out?
Sure she grew up anyway,later bore some children,become most learned and pious and contributed significantly to the Religion.

Do you find anyone today whom we can compare to Aisha in virtue ?

The source of the above information can only be the Hadiths books which are nothing but lies attributed to prophet Muhammad. It has no support in Quran. All the stories circulating on the Internet and in the hadiths books about Aisha's marriage at age of 6 or 9, are no more than lies found in the corrupted books of Hadiths and completely contradict the teachings of the prophet Muhammed that came from his mouth, the Glorious Quran. We only need to read the Quran to know how false these stories are. Nothing normal in such relationship neither in our time nor in the prophet time. Any person at the age of six or nine is still a child who is incapable of taking crucial decisions which are essential for marriage under Quranic guidance. Further, marriage involves taking serious responsibilities on the part of both the spouses concerning the upbringing of the family, which a child of the age of 6 or 9 or whatever is incapable of taking. STOP justifying corrupted and fabricated stories PLEASE. Peace!

What you might see as wrong was perfectly acceptable at that time.
Aisha had reached puberty and she personally accepted to be married to the Prophet(SAW). In fact, if you claim that our Prophet (SAW) is a pedo then why did her father Abu Bakr betroth her to him?! Also, the Prophet married his own daughter Fatima (AS) off to Imam Ali (AS) when she was about 12 years old and Ali was in his mid-twenties. Both Aisha and Fatima were happy to be married at that age as were all other girls at that time because it was a normal custom in Arabia.

I am a Muslim, and it is acceptable for a 50 year old to marry a 9 year old if she has gone through puberty and she agrees to the marriage!

This wife was engaged to a man whose name was Mutam Ibn Jubayr before she got engaged to Mohammad, and he waited 3 years till she got mature before he brought her to his house and this is self evident. But if you take into account that he lived his first 25 years of his life as a single, and his next 25 years married only to a widow who was 15 years older than him it is again evident that sex was not a priority in his life. He only married multiple wives when he got elderly after the age of 50 and most of them were widows and elderly. Now the blessing of marrying this young wife is known to all Muslims today as she was very clever and conveyed the message of Islam as she learned directly from him to all Muslims including women after his death and she was the most influential woman in the history of Islam. Mohammad PBUH was the greatest prophet that he just did what his Lord ordered him to do. Before you criticize a great person whose positive effects on human history is still evident today think of your self what good did you do to humanity? What a shame?
