Oh --on the shelf? Wrapped up in metal foil? Years and years --at least 5 years, I would say.

This is just a guess, but after its dropped in water probably no more than 5 minutes or so.

if your talking about shelf life(how old it is) then, if it has been kept in its original container they are good about a year, if it has just been lying around, probably six months.
