i know it's a stupid question but i need a guy's opinion...

he's a good friend of mine and we talk about everything together. I want to be really good friends first before i make any moves, so it might take a while. and we're teenagers

No, just walking someone home doesn't imply like as in romantic feelings. It just means he cares about you.

Now that you put it this way, it sounds like he's just being a good friend since "you two talk about everything together." He might be interested in dating you, but he probably doesn't know your feelings about it.

Like I said before, I believe a good friendship is the basis to a good relationship.

It sounds like you two get along really well, so he may be interested in dating you. However, get to know him much better before starting to date.

Saying that, I can't tell you one way or the other if he's interested in dating you, but it can be a little awkward turning a friendship into a relationship, so he might be holding back some feelings.

If he usually has a bunch of work to do and still walks home with you, he probably likes you. If he's bored a lot of the time and just likes being nice, he may not be interested in you "yet."

my short answer - For the time being, he only likes you as a friend.

To me, if I were to walk a girl home however many miles out of my way, the main concern is her safety. But at the same time though, if I really liked this girl, I may use walking her home as an excuse to spend more time with her.

I guess yes. and i see you like to walk too lol 5 miles Woaw. Probably you have a lot of incomon 5 miles of walking and talking to each other. This is a very good start for a good relationship from my point of view.

well..i'm not a guy, but i have been walked home by my guy friends before and they walk me home because they worry about my safety. No matter how much I insist that I'm fine and don't need to be walked home, they still walk me home.

Since he's a good friend of yours, he's obviously going to worry about your safety, especially since he's a guy. He's going to want to protect you, cos you're a friend, and that might include walking you home.

My guy friends walk me home, but I know they don't like me as more than a friend. Cos once I told one of my guy friends that I liked him, but he rejected me in a nice way, and I know he likes this other girl, so..yeah..doesn't necessarily mean he likes you.

But if you want to go out with him, then just tell him and see how it goes.
