I am looking for a family suite in Washington DC for a family of 8 that has a kitchen we are coming for a week in May and arriving by amtrak any ideas money is tight

Finding an inexpensive place for 8 with a kitchen is quite a task. This lovely place seems to have availablility in May: http://wvrgroup.com/USA/vacation-TOWNHOME-Washington-DC/dni/1/p133801.htm The owner's contact detail are there. You could try negotiating a better deal.
