Mayagüez is the largest city ot the west of Puerto Rico, also known as Porta del Sol. Hotel Colonial is small hotel located in the historic district, a few walking steps from Plaza Almirante Cristóbal Colón, Cathedral, and City Hall, and taxis. It is mainly used by local salesmen visiting the town.

There are other alternatives in town, such as El Sol (with restaurant and pool) and Howard Johnson (pool). Also, you can check the Mayagüez Resort and Casino and the Mayagüez Holiday Inn.

For additional information, just visit the Mayagüez section at www.travelandsports.com.

Visit www.gotopuertorico.com and you will find info on this hotel and others. It is a small inn located in the heart of the city of Mayaguez. Good things: you are close to the Mayaguez Zoo, Crash Boat beach in Aguadilla (30 mins max away), Boqueron beach (30 mins max), and Rincon - surf spot (10-15 mins). I would recommend you to combine your stay with 3 days in the capital city of San Juan; that way you can enjoy all of our "wonders". To rent a car is a must, you will save in taxi rides lots of $$$ and you will have "freedom" during your stay. Do not forget to visit www.gotopuertorico.com, it's very helpful.
