will it hurt to drive my car to work until monday
when an auto dealership opens , ours the mehanics are off duty until monday and I have to work, so does hubbyHELPPPPP!!!!

have you been in any accidents? the most common issue is the air bag control module detected an abnormal resistance value in an air bag whether it be a side air bag or the main front one., a seat belt switch, or the wiring damaged to these components. every now and then we see a faulty sensor or control module. the belt wiring harness is common to have a wire from the switch to break or rubb through creating an open or short. that triggers the control module there is a problem.

Normally the light will come on momentarily when you statr the car. If it doesn't go out, there is a problem in the airbag system.
Take it to the dealership or a qualified mechanic as soon as possible.

Probably needs service, they do have a limited life expectancy
