I'm thinking about surprising my Arab fiance,but I'm nervous because what if I travel abroad&I get surprised?

Whenever I have done this here to a boyfriend, rarely was I not the one surprised! Do you think it's a good idea?Or is it too much of a risk? I was going to surprise him at his brother's wedding.

Okay...it's a really romantic thought and picture in your head I'm sure. Things can go terribly awry, but....get someone in his circle to be privvy to your plan and keep it from your fiance and then it should be okay...the issue I hear is....if you are worried you might get 'surprised' perhaps you need to re-think your relationship....distance and time is risky if you feel it in your heart....sometimes we really need to listen to our nagging inner self.....

Wow - tough decision. Your surprises could be many. Arab cultures aren't reknowned for their belief in women's lib so unless you're accustomed to arab culture, making that trip alone might not be wise. I'd call first. He might like the fact you've traveled that far to be with him but it might not come across very well with the family.

In addition, there was a 1991 movie detailing the experience of a wife who went to Iran with her husband and daughter where her whole life changed and she was pretty much held hostage. Not trying to scare you there but it's something to consider.

its a good Idea , if he has nothing to hid there should not be any problem , if he has something that is hidding you better get over with that and know what's going on .its a win-win situation.
